My daughter's cat scratched her going for her eyes and bit her in the middle of the night. She has had the cat for several years and she has been otherwise very sweet. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Ideas of what might cause such behavior?

You or a family member.
First hand knowledge. Not tall tales.
NOT some sick weirdo deliberately hanging the cats either.
It could be either a break away collar or not.

my husband and I are going to visit my family this summer and taking our cats with us...neither one of them like water unless its in their dish...but they both need really good baths or at least get rid of the dander...is there a way to keep from losing any of my body parts and still get them nice a clean so they don't hinder my brother's allergies too bad??? THANKS!!!

Ok i asked "should my kitten wear a collar?" before,I am still not sure.no pet shop sells the break away collars they only have ones with a little elastic near the buckle.I live in AUSTRALIA so should my new kitten wear a collar or not? I have gone through the pain of losing cats (not to collars) and i dont want my new kitten to hang herself or choke to death.I don't have enough money for microchipping or tatooing. What do I do?..

wondering if there was something I could do to make his life more "interesting". I have two scratching posts he never uses and I feel bad that he is couped up in here (even though I am home most of the day) with nothing fun to do. I used to live in a larger appartment with a balcony, and I used to let him out on the balcony which he enjoyed. But due to my financial situation I had to move into a smaller appartment and one without a balcony. Can you train a grown cat to walk on a leash? Any other suggestions on how I can make is life more fun? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

She never went pee or poo on the carpet in all of the 10 years that I have had her. We have moved to many different houses, and never did she do this until our new house we have been in for two months.

She can see, doesn't have arthritis and still goes 50% of the time in the litter box. She prefers three spots in a particular room- but will go in other rooms as well. I have used products from Petco that supposedly break down the scent and take stains away, doesn't work. I have tried a product called No- Go that supposedly smells like garlic and cats don't like it. Forget about it. I have tried layers of baking soda. She goes right on top of it.

What on God's green Earth can I do. Help PLEASE.

This morning when I awoke and went outside I saw one of my cats month old kitties and i thought how cute, theyre walking now! but when we went to the back we saw that : one kitty was just dead, another dead with a serious throught wound, another with NO HEAD! and another missing. Like my cat could only save 1 kitty. But she cant get over it and tries to get her other kitties and when we piled them up to bury them she was sniffing them, trying to wake them up, she even took the one with no head and put it next to the live one! I wanna know if there is anything I can do to help her feel better...

my kitten is almost 5 months old, we got her and her sister from our
local aspca. recently my kitten "fortune" has been having these leg
spasm like things.
she will lay down on her stomache and her back legs will bop up and
down uncontrollably.
i would go to pick her up and her legs would still do the same thing
even in mid air.
Her sister "szechuan" used to do it, but it ended after an hour.

i dont know what to think of this, if it is just somthing apart of
growing into a cat or somthing serious.
she is very uncomfortable.

please help,

She's a tiny cat, maybe 5 months old? Full grown but very small. I've been feeding her twice a day, but she uses the litter box a LOT. More than you would think. I give her water to drink also. Is twice a day too much? Her stomach is getting kind of round :-)

I noticed today that my cat has not only the usual odd brown fleck in her iris, but also what almost looks like a ring or partial ring of dark (inside the iris, more or less going around the mid-point of the iris encircling the pupil area).

Has anyone ever seen that before?

She has recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and is 13 years old.
