The most common is Depo-Medrol. It CAN be given monthly, but the goal is to try and get as long out of it as possible!!!!! There are many side effects to long term steroid use. Cats very often becom diabetic from steroid use. Some cats get by with one each year, others can get two months, some only a month. If it seems she is only getting a month from it, the vet might want to explore what the root of the problem is.
