Has anyone toilet trained their cat and if so how did you go about doing it? I would like to do that with my cat, I'm just imagining how much it would save on kitty litter.

I have a kitty with little worms. They look like little pieces of rice. Will a piperazine solution treat these types of worms? If so, how do I get it down him. Big Fat Bob Cat is on to my plan and now he won't ingest it. Should I syringe it into his mouth?

We have finally got our mini pin paper trained, and we have him in a crate and take him outside but he wont go potty. As soon as we come back in he heads for the paper. I tried the dog liter but it was awful stuff, wouldnt expect him to use it, but what about cat liter?? He is only 5 pounds.

I have a cat that is rougly 6 or 7 months old. Since the day I got him he has been glued to me. He drives me crazy. When I get home from work, he's at the door right where he was before I left in the same spot, when I go take a shower he's right there. When I go to bed and I wake up in the middle of the night he's laying on my chest or up on my neck. He is stuck to me like glue. I push him away and he comes right back. I spray him with water, he's right there again. Any suggestions????

i brought a just-neutered male cat (named Silver, very lovable, good tempered, people cat) up from a house where he has lived alone for several weeks. He came from a group of stray cats outside.

In the new house, there are two cats, fixed male ("Fatboy",fat, good tempered around female and people) and unspayed female ("Cali", shy, wary, runs instead of get into conflict). They have both been in the house for several years.

Fatboy and Cali are somewhat accepting of Silver, no real hostility shown from either. But Silver constantly growls and hisses when either of the other two are in sight.

I understand that this is natural and they will take time to get used to eachother, but is there any way that I can get them used to eachother's scent to avoid any fights when they are left alone?

My cat has a disease called pemphigus (probably not right spelling) pronounced pem-fi-gus. Her immune system produces too many white blood cells. She got REALLY sick and she went all scabby and lost some hair. She is MUCH better now but she eats too much even though we have cut back. She is so fat that even her stomach is pink where her hair has rubbed away. Her hair will never grow back because of all the drugs she is on. She takes leukeran and some other drugs that help. In total, she has 3 drugs. What should i do about her fat and her constant eating??

Yesterday morning my cat peed in the middle of my bed... she is only 2 months old and has never peed anywhere in the house but her litterbox. Her litter box is in the laundry closet, secluded in its own corner; It is also regularly cleaned. I haven't changed her food, litter brand, or any daily routine. What might have caused her to do this?

Yesterday, one of my neighbours drove over a cat. Appalled at this wanton act of cruelty, someone who lives in the same compound as myself complained to the driver. the driver merely shrugged and said it's only a cat. (We are living in a country where animals have NO rights, animal rights being a western concept, and cats are viewed with disdain by people here)
It turned out that this cat had a kitten. the kitten is extremely young, (the eyes are no longer blue, but it still has the fluffy baby kitten fur. I'd say it's about 6 weeks old. It followed me everywhere. not being a cat person, i didn't realise the poor kitten was hungry! Luckily the witness mentioned above is a cat person. the problem is... we are volunteers who are in this country for only a short time. (Until 2008) I think it is terrible to be kind to be cruel... form attachments with the kitten, only to abandon it when out term of service is up.
What would you advise, given the above situation?
thanks.

Does it really eliminate the smell completely? I'm seriously wanting to get a cat but Hubby is concerned about the smell of litter. The only place to put the box out of the way is our pantry. This would be a bad place for liter smell.

hi..i picked out a 2mo old kitten at the shelter and they were going to do a spay on her before i bring her home.well, they called me and said she had been shaved already ut the vet found her tummy was bruised so they werent going to do it.yet. now they just called and said i could bring her home until they find out how her tummy is doing, and then spay her. they said she was a stray. some one had found her sitting in a snow bank. im going to get her. she was there a week and no one adoptedmher. she is just precious, and playful, and she purrs like she has a motor running. what do you guys think of this?

My cat, about 9 months, he has a fairly decent sized body but his head is rather small. I heard from my dad that it is caused when a veterinarian neuters/spays a cat too early during their life. Is it true?
