There is a cat that lives in the area surrounding my house. She is feral and a completely unsocialized adult. It is impossible to catch her. I have been feeding her since August. Now it is winter time in PA and it's been absolutely freezing. Is there anything I can do to provide a warm place for her so she doesnt freeze to death? I cannot even leave water outside for her because it freezes right away. I am open to any suggestions! And please dont tell me to bring her to the SPCA b/c they told me they would put her down b/c she is feral. :(

so we had our 5month old cat spayed yesterday, i didnt realize she was only 5 months old is that too young for spaying?

when she came home she was in bad shape very wobbly and groggy and in bad shape but i gave her pain medication before bed with some food at night i heard her eat the dry food and she has been using the litter box. This morning she seems better and her eyes are open more and i gave her some more meds after 8hrs. she keeps on licking her wound but i checked and there isnt any bleeding so should i get her a cone for the head.

she just seems to be sitting in one place and sleeping standing up but it was really bad yesterday.

also the vet said that we have to keep her in one room for 2 weeks will she get depressed or something cause she keeps on going to the door and i know she will run under a sofa which is hard to pick up if we even let her out?

For the past month or so I have been feeding a cat I found hangin out on my driveway. I have 2 inside cats so I figured it thought Id be kind to it. It lets me touch it and from the start has been sweet to me. It rubs itself on my legs and feet and lets me touch it. Is it possible to domesticate this cat enough to bring it inside? if i do bring it inside ill have to vaccinate it and spay it - i think its a female. and id have to declaw it - i cant have one cat inside outside and 2 just inside cats....im so torn as to what to do - I already love this cat like i love my own...also I have one dog inside who plays with the cats I have who are both declawed....I just dont know what to do....

I took her to the vet awhile back. The vet found one large tumor and some small ones. He advised that she has them removed, which is expensive and there is no guarantee that she'll live longer. I have thought about putting her to sleep, but it's a hard decision for me. I just had to put my dog to sleep about 1 1/2 years ago. I would prefer that she die at home but don't want her to suffer either. She mostly just lays around and has no energy.

Now I've bought my own house and am in a good financial position I would like to adopt a kitten or kittens but am having no luck. I would like to adopt one from a rescue centre but I have had no luck there. The kittens would go to a loving permanent home with myself and my fiancee so any ideas let me know! Thanks :-)

The oldest we've ever had was 19. I currently have a 17 year old cat, who my vet wants to do $500 in work on to "keep him alive longer" and "improve his quality of life." He's an old kitty. He's still relitively active. He plays with the younger cats sometimes. He's slowing down, but he's an old kitty! The 19 year old cat had to be put down because she no longer used the litter box, kept bringing home parasites, etc, and my mom wasn't willing to deal with her anymore. (I was on my own at the time and my 17 year old cat was about 5)

I can't see spending that amount of money on a pet who probably isn't going to live much longer, anyway. She said something about possible kidney failure/change of diet. Should I call her and ask if we should just buy the perscription food from her? He's only like 6 1/2 lbs and she wants to "put him under" to do some of those procedures. I'm afraid he might not come out, along with the scary vet bill. What do you think?

I have a 3 year old tabby cat I named Saber. I had no idea when she was a rambunctious little kitten that she would grow to live up to her name. She is just flat out MEAN. Sometimes she likes me to pet her, but it's only on her terms. If you try to pet her otherwise, she'll bite the hell out of you after she scratches the hell out of you. She's really crazy. And I recently got a 2nd cat hoping Saber might make a friend, and she won't have anything to do with my new kitty, Sahara. So now Sahara bullies Saber. Sahara is the sweetest most affectionate cat I've ever had. Saber is the meanest. I love her to death, but what the hell can I do to change her pissy attitude? She's NUTS! I never abused her, never hit her, always LOVED her. What gives? She really loves to follow me into the bathroom, and she hangs out in there all the time. She likes to lay by the sink and will beg for me to turn the water on to a trickle so she can drink it. She's sweet at that time. So??

I have three cats, 2 spayed females and one male (not neutered yet), all under a year old. The females both know how to use the litter box well and have no problem covering their poo/pee. Sometimes my oldest cat will even follow behind the male (he's the youngest) and cover his poo for him, but only sometimes.

I know he was taken from his mom too early. We got him when he was only 5 weeks old! I'm not sure his mom was the greatest at cleanliness either though.

He'll go into the box, dig a hole and go potty. Afterwards, he'll dig/scratch at everywhere but the litter. The wall, the side of the litter box, the carpet outside the litter box, etc. He's had some bowel problems in the past, such as diarrhea and such so he's had problems with getting it on his paws and what not... that hasn't been a problem recently as he's been to the vet and been put on a solid diet.

He just doesn't know how to cover it! It gets so annoying hearing him try to cover it for sometimes as long as 5 minutes.
