I picked my cat up and blood was leaking out of her bottom. Could it be that she is in heat?

I am currently catsitting a Bengal cat that is a 10 yrs old fixed male. He's 15 pounds. He is absolutely nasty and won't let me pick him up. I have to bring him to the vet and I don't know what the best method to get him into the carrier because he will hiss and swat at me when I get close to him. I have a petite frame and quite honestly, this cat scares the bejeezus out of me. I have also been told that when placed in a carrier, the cat gets nervous and has no control over bodily functions. I'm really not looking forward to having to uproot the kitty, but it's gotta be done. Any ideas, suggestions on a safe & non-traumatic method (for both myself and the cat)?

We have to take our cat from north carolina to connecticut, then back again in two weeks. Does anyone have any advice? all the kennels are booked and all our friends are also going on vacation. The cat has been on like, hour long drives at the most, both in and out of the crate. How do you deal with a twelve hour drive? What do I do as far as the litterbox goes? I'm not looking forward to this at all! And we are leaving tonight, so no time to get sedatives.

if you get a cat when it is a kitten, does it grow up to be the way it is because of how you raise it and treat it or is that just the way the cat is?

he gives us 'kisses'- cuddling and pawing at our faces at 2 a.m., 3.a.m., 4 a.m. etc.. He also kneads on our neck and face. I tried leaving some food next to the bed thinking he might be hungry but that didn't work. We love it but we also need our sleep! anyone had a similar affectionate kitty? He doesn't do this in the daytime!!

My hasband and I just purchased a brand new matress set. Within two days of owning it, our cat urinated right on the mattress. I have tried a vinegar/water solution but it really hasn't done much. I also know cat urine is especially hard to get out, but I can't take the mattress back and I don't want to get stuck smelling it every night. Can you please help?

OK here's the story I have a female cat of 11 months now. This is her first litter, and she has only just given birth to one at 5:30AM. She still has about five more to go. But it's been nearly four hours now, and she has not given birth to any more. She is not crying in pain she is just sleeping. Is this normal, or should I worry. I have already taken her to the animal hospital, and they said she was fine, but that was when she just started labor. Should I take her back, or give it more time? I mean how much time do they usually take? Thanks in advance for any info.

Of course I'm looking for 'staged' pictures. I have a buddy who is obsessed with his new cat and I want to send a few pictures to him of what I plan to do to his little kitty.

He lives with his two brothers and his mother. They all seem to be fine eating everything. I'm assuming the vet is where it's at unless someone knows of a possible remedy fo a poison plant which may be the problem.Giving him pedialyte, tuna juice, different foods to try and nothing, really sucks to see him like this
