doesnt matter who it comes from pee is pee. The males are spraying their SCENT to mark their territory and attract females, not peeing

I have had both male and female cats. The urine smell i s ammonia in thier urine. Male and female cats do not have different odors in thier urine if there is a difference it maybe that the male cat has no t been nuetered and that strong smell his caused from his territory sraying galnds which will have a more pungent odor. Cats urine smell is strong and i suggest anyone to use the cat litter I use it is Ever Clean and it has the best odor absorbtion i have ever found!!!! Remeber whether you have males or females, use scoopable litter and scoop everyday!!! Females are picky about a clean litter box and males dont seem to mind too much if it goes a day or 2 but keeping it cleaned out it also keeps the smell down. Female cats have urine odour , but the Male's urine is much stronger

We have four cats...three females and a male.
All of the urine has an odor, that of the females is very slight.
But the male was another story BEFORE he was neutered...since being neutered the odor is not nearly as strong..but still stronger than that of the females.
