Taking her in the bath when you shower helps also. Antibiotics take a couple days to really help. Keep her on the ab and try the shower it really does help break up the congestion.

I agree with kitkat, that is a great way to help your kitten breathe. I had an older cat get a URI, and I was sooooo scared he was going to die. But the vet gave him the same, and within no time he was better.

Give the medicine some time to work. Make sure your kitty is comfy, and drinking water. You may have to get a dropper and force feed the water, but you dont want her to dehydrate.

Also, if she isnt eating (my cat wasn't), my vet gave me some viactin-biactin, not sure how to spell it. This is a vitamin suppliment usually given to ferrets as a treat. My cat hated it, so I had to make him eat that as well, but I think the extra vitamins helped him recover.

Put her in a room with either a vaporizer or humidifier. It will take some time for the medicine to work. Some antibiotics take 72 hours to start working. Keep her supplied in plenty of fresh water and food. Give her time to rest and relax.
