I picked my cat up and blood was leaking out of her bottom. Could it be that she is in heat?

Well, I don't know if she is pregnent or not. And, how do you know if your cat is in heat?

If your cat is bleeding and you are not sure why, the best thing to do is to call your vet. If you don't have a regular vet, call an emergency vet care center in your area. You might be able to find one by doing a regional search on your computer. If your cat seems to be in pain, you might want to put her in a box or similar container with a few rags or padding of some kind to make her comfortable.

Cats don't get periods. She's probably bleeding from her rectum. That may be serious. She could have an obsstruction or infection. Take her to the vet right away.

Call the Vet, Take the cat to the vet, and don't screw around waiting for us to diagnose your pet. It is still early enough in the day the vet can ease your fears.

Possibly. Is she due? Try cleaning her to see where the blood is coming from. Then go to the vet regardless. If in heat, get her spayed, if not she need help asap.

You have several issues here.
First, your cat needs to go tot he vet. Let the vet determine what the issue is
Second, if she is in fact that she's in heat, then have her spayed ASAP.

Go to the vet. Sounds like someone took her from behind.
