Tonight I scolded her and gave her a swat on the butt for climbing on the kitchen table, then she HISSED at me.. i was VERY surprised by this reaction... Will she be a nasty cat as a result?

I have 2 lovable adult cats which I truly adore but I am just getting to the point I am getting so tired of both of them waking me up different times during the night because they want fed or they want petted. If I don't get up right away, they would jump on my face or sit on me until I get up which I have to feed them and I would go back to bed resulting in oversleeping. What methods could I use to stop my cats from waking me up early in the morning so I don't have to sleep until 11-12 noon I had tried shutting our bedroom door but they always find a way in.

At night my brother's cat comes into the hallway where all of the bedrooms are and starts to make a noise. It sounds almost as if he's crying or whining. Call me crazy but to me it sounds like he saying hello. We keep all our bedroom doors closed when we go to bed. The cat will come right by our bedroom doors first and then go all around our apartment making this noise. Is there anything that we could do to stop it from doing it? He keeps me up for half the night because of this.

I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes in the garage. My house has tile floors, so when I walk around I contantly feel little bits stick to my feet. Is there something I can use that will take all the litter from my cats' paws and prevent it from coming into the house? It drives me nuts!

How do a cat with the size body shape, coat length, and tail shape of a Ragdoll, but solid black, from head-to-toe (and no blue eyes), and another, nothing like one in *any* way, (who, by the way was the mother), also all-black, except for a tiny dab of a milk "moustache" and regular-length, non-"plumy" short-haired, skinny tail, (and also no blue eyes), end up producing a kitten that looks to an untrained eye in the breed (namely mine) only **more** like one with every day??? Beautiful blue eyes, long, soft hair, more affectionate than any of our other cats (neither of which are either of his parents - my cats are neutered and stay inside) -- long, blue "plumey" tail, blue legs and feet (except a white dot on each of the back feet), blue mask, and coat getting more interspersed with dark every day, practically, and now - about a week before his first birthday, still gaining size, too.
Can someone satisfy my curiosity on how he could come from the two cats above?

I have a 6 year old male cat. He lives indoors along with 3 female cats (all older) who have all been spayed. My male cat has never shown any sexual attraction to the mbefore, and I have never had a problem with him spraying things before. About 3 weeks ago we moved, and all the cats came with us. And since then the male has been humping one of the spayed female cats, and has been spraying furniture, and walls. He also makes this howling sounds, and follows this perticular cat everywhere, trying to hump her. HELP!!!!! Does anyone knoe how to stop this? Should I get him nuetured? Is he too old? Will that even make a difference? Is there something else that works? Please, I would GREATLY appreciate ANY AND ALL HELP!!!!!!!!!!

my b/f and i got a cat a few months ago and sometimes he plays too rough and other times he thinks he can climb the walls. some people told me getting him neutered would calm him down but it hasn't. he is 4 months old and bites really hard. we tried spraying him with a spray bottle but he only stops for a little while. what can i do and how long will it take?

The male cat keeps jumping on the female cat holding her down. I feel he is trying to hump her but my roommate says: since he has never had sex, he doesn't know what sex is. I say it is instinct and he is trying to hump her. Who is right?

The vet said.... "You know she weighs almost 10 lbs. right?" I was too worried about other things to ask how much she SHOULD weigh.

My cat is pretty well-behaved, but I am not able to correct her. If she wants to do something, no matter how many times she gets in trouble, she always repeats the behavior. For example, no matter how many times she gets under foot and gets stepped on, she continues to get underfoot. She continues to break venician blinds, etc. The only thing I can do with her is cut off her access to things she breaks and whatnot, but my question is: What is it about cats that they don't change when their actions bring an undesired result for them? If a child gets in trouble, they likely stop repeating the behavior. So do dogs. What is it about cats?

I adopted 2 kittens (same litter), they are 3 mos. old. They were wormed, had some starter vaccines given and were checked by a vet. They are both playful, active and have a good appetite. But the female (Lola) is having loose, light brown, VERY stinky bowel movements. Her brother (Dojo) is fine. We are going to the vet next week. I am aware that diarrhea is common in kittens, but would like to help her in the mean time. I have heard that rice and chicken helps, I have also heard that plain yogurt helps. Right now they are being fed canned food and IAM's dry kitten food. Lola doesn't appear to be feeling ill. Any suggestions?

My Male cat. He used to get along fine with other males until I got him neutered 4 years ago. Now he picks fights with other male cats who are not neutered. Normally its the un neutered cats that pick the fights. The other male cats leave him alone and are never bothering him. He will just jump on them and attack them for no reason. So what is the deal?

I went to a pet store last night to buy a toy for my 6 month old and the clerk talked me into buying a different brand of food for her. Well I knew full well that the brand I already use is just fine and healthy and a very good brand but stupid me I let her talk me into it..thinking mabey it might be better. Well my poor kitty just pucked!! All her food she just ate came right up.It makes me mad when I let people talk me into thinks like that..Purina Kitten Chow is the brand my kitten eats and shes happy and healthy(not right at the moment) Blue Seal was the brand I bought and it made her sick..I'm not saying its not a good brand but its not the brand for my Sofee..Anyone out there as gullible or easy to pursuade as me?

When she breaths, it sounds difficult for her, and it sounds kinda like maybe she has a sinus infection or something. We got her from the humane society, anyone know if they will help us out if we call them about it? Because we just got her like last week... I don't know, we don't really have the money to take her to the vet, so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for possibly how to treat it...
