I just got a little 3 month old kitten. One probalem though. I also have a dog. The one time they were together the cat started hissing. My dog backed off but still wanted to play. Now my dog is outside barking a howling. Is there anyway I can introduce them and make them like eachother?

He is about 8 months old, and honestly I don't believe he has ever peed anywhere except his litter box and outside. This is SO random. Talk about ruining a Saturday morning...

She is an indoor cat, 3 years old, fixed &healthy and my house has no crawlspaces. What can I do? There are a lot of starys in the area, so putting out food wouldn't work out well.

My 13 year-old cat Burmese, Coco, died this June and I'm having a hard time getting through the death.
She died of Kidney failure, when we put her down, she was so weak I wasn't even able to hold her and say good-bye. I said good-bye but it didn't feel like it was enough.
I loved her so much. She would stay with me at night and let me hold her in bed.
I have a 6 month old tabby kitten now, who we got 3 days after she died. I don't feel close to her at all. She doesn't stay on our bed at night and fall asleep in my arms like Coco did.
I hate talking about her because it makes me sad all the time. I'm so used to seeing her sprawled out in front of our heater, now she's not.

Any advice on how to deal with her loss?

Somebody told me that all black cats have at least a few white hairs on them, usually located on their chest. Mine has absolutely none. BTW his favorite holiday's coming up!! His name is "Slag".

walking home with my g/f last night, we spotted a group youths attatching fireworks with masking tape to a very frightened cat(to its legs/body). totally outraged i this i went over to them and asked them what they were up to. "just a bit of fun" they said, thinking nothing of the cruelty and needless suffering to the cat.
taking the matter into my own hands i showed them that it's much better fun to also strap a few fireworks to the cats head(the explosion is excellent) and uses a larger percentage of the cat. surely if kids are going to inflict needless pain and suffering on animals they should at least use it's whole body. i've never witnessed such a waste, i'm furious

She is 8mths old and is killing about 2 birds a day, She seldom eats them, it is just a game to her. I'm not a fan of cat collars as I am frightend that she may get caught on a branch in a tree.

I wanted to get rid of my old cat and I took away for about one kilometer away and left alone. It was a lonely area.
But after two days when I open the door in the morning the same cat walked in as usual. How this happens???

We used to have so much fun with this tiny ball made out of tape that I would move around with a string tied up to it. One day my brother had the excellent idea to make him jump on a spinning chair to get it. Guess what happended? he spun away from the chair in the heat of the moment, and banged his poor little head on the table!!! Now the cat is affraid of a ball made out of TAPE!!! I tried other toys but he is psychologically scarred and will barely play anymore...I'm sad for the poor thing, what should I do?

Is that bc it's instinctual (so no predators sneak up behind them?) I was just wondering bc ours flips his tail all the time while he eats.

It's a very small black and gold kitten. I found it outside my door when I was putting out the rubbish. It's smaller than my hand. I've never owned such a small kitten before. I've had dogs and cats before but never as newborns. I have no idea what to do with it but if it's healthy, I'd like to keep it. Any advice on what to do? I was thinking about taking it to the Vet but my sister has my car. He can open his eyes a little bit.

What do I feed him? Where will he sleep? What shots dows he need when he is so young? Is there any point in looking for siblings or it's mother?

Any help would be great and very much appreciated.
