I wanted to get rid of my old cat and I took away for about one kilometer away and left alone. It was a lonely area.
But after two days when I open the door in the morning the same cat walked in as usual. How this happens???

You know, someone should get rid of YOU ! You don't do that to a cat or ANY animal just because it's old or you don't like it anymore. Shame on you !!!!!! If you want to get rid of your cat, for heavens sake....take it to a shelter or a humane league or the SPCA.

Most animals that you have for a long time have a very good sense of it's home, I have 2 cats that I put out as kittens and they managed to make it back to my house and stay outside now and that was about a year ago. I mean if someone took you and put you out wouldn't you find your way back home to the people who took care of you? Weird I know, but if you really wanna get rid of the cat, take and put a pic and description of the temperament of the cat in a vet's office, lots of people take in animals that are unwanted.

How Horrid!
Did you think this was a good idea?
To set in the wilds a cat that was use to having a home and a human to care for him?
How cruel!
Did you know that there are wild animals that EAT poor defenseless kitties?
Take the cat to an animal rescue or SPCA if you don't want it anymore.
I hope you were at least humane enough to spay or neuter your pet before you abandoned it!

because she knows her way back home. This is a horrible thing to do, by the way. She is old, and used to the being taken care of. You can't just drop a cat that has been sheltered all of her life and expect everything to just be hunky-dory for you. Of course she showed back up. She probably didn't realize that her owner really had intentions of abandoning her.

A cat is a living thing.....not trash you can dispose of when you get tired of it. There are plenty of shelters and humane societies out there who will take the cat for you at no charge. Do the right thing.

Hi Muzammil... How about considering finding it a new home with someone else or take it to an animal shelter in Sri Lanka since you live there.

how sad :o( .....and inhumane..since your cat is old and not use to fending for itself since it's been domesticated and you've obviously fed it pretty well and loved it over the years....THEY KNOW WHERE THEY LIVE ...THEY WILL ALWAYS COME HOME...UNLESS THEY GET HIT BY A CAR FIRST :o( it would be more humane for you to take it to the vet and have it euthanized if you no longer want it and cannot find no one to take loving care of it.
