We used to have so much fun with this tiny ball made out of tape that I would move around with a string tied up to it. One day my brother had the excellent idea to make him jump on a spinning chair to get it. Guess what happended? he spun away from the chair in the heat of the moment, and banged his poor little head on the table!!! Now the cat is affraid of a ball made out of TAPE!!! I tried other toys but he is psychologically scarred and will barely play anymore...I'm sad for the poor thing, what should I do?

He wasn't hurt that bad and he still loves me to death ,just like I do too, it's just the playing with toys that he despises now!...

There's nothing a cat likes better than a drinking straw just make sure you tape a few together as you want the fingers kept out of the way,

Hi there...because he has associated the bad event with the ball of tape it's best not to bring the ball out for a little while--long enough for him to forget about it. Consider introducing it later with some catnip on it next to other toys he likes to play with and hopefully he will enjoy it once again. Have a little patience as cats do not forget anything that frightens or hurts them.

Please also keep a watchful eye on him to be sure he doesn't have any lasting side-effects from the trauma to his head. Sometimes it doesn't show up immediately. Some things to watch for are lethargy, sleeping more, acting unusually different than prior to the injury, eating or drinking less, eyes are not reactive to light, etc. If any of these occur, immediately see your vet.

Did you tell you parents what your brother did?
Sounds like he has a problem.
You need to regain your cats friendship and confidence.
Patience and time may heal the rift between you.
I hope that the cat did not get injured. Have you seen your vet about this ?
I hope you protect your cat from your brother from now on!
Good Luck

Just let him see that playing with it is safe, when he is watching try to play with it yourself and then to play with it with him, he'll wont be scarred any more, with my cats it is working :)
good luck :)
