I was always a dog lover but living alone and working a full time job, it's very difficult to care for a dog so I got a kitten and I can say that I'm now totally a cat person - she's alot of fun and so entertaining and very loving. Make sure to get your kitten plenty of toys to play with and be ready for litter box cleaning and training - you may be lucky - I got a 2 1/2 month old kitten that used the litter box as soon as I brought her home. Also, if you do decide to get a kitten, try your local shelter - grown cats who are not adopted are often put down so save a life if you can. Cats are alot more attentive and loving than some people may believe, my kitten follows me around the house and cuddles and comes when I call her name and loves to play. Hope this helped and good luck.

I think that totally depends on the kind of life you lead - are you away at school or work for many hours a day. Do you have a social life that means you are also away in the evenings and weekends.
A kitten needs a lot of attention and love to bond with its human care-giver. If you are not around home a lot TWO kittens is a much better option as they provide fun, exercise, mental stimulation and companionship for one another. An older cat who is used to being by itself would be a good choice too. When cats are older their preferences in life style and personalities are more easily discernible and you can make a better choice as to what will fit in happily with the life you lead.

Kittens are wonderful and adorable, and they're a good idea if you're ready to deal with the litterbox and the fact that they need tons of attention right away. Also, that they'll need vet care and checkups and shots.
Also remember they're going to act according to their nature, so they're going to be looking for things to scratch, things to climb, pouncing and playing. They need scratching posts and toys and you need to kind of get things out of their reach that they might want to chew on, etc.
Only get a kitten if you can deal with the above things... but if you can and you do get one, you'll love it!

Don't get just one kitten. If you get one you must have two. I just
got 2 kittens and they keep each other entertained and exercised.
Plus you will find you have enough love for both.

Well, it depends if you have another cat or not, or how old the kitten is.
