Cats have a mind of their own. They come and go and no one will master them. She may come back or she make take up residence somewhere else but I assure you....she will be okay. Cats have that unique way of coming out on top!

Talk to neighbours. Put up posters with a picture of her; consider offering a reward. Check -- regularly -- with your local humane society in case somebody brings her there...
And, post on-line, and check 'found cat' postings on-line. Do a Google search for "lost found cat (your city)," and some relevant sites should pop up -- Craigslist is a good enough place to start. I took in a stray a while back, and checked people's photocopied posters on telephone poles, and on-line 'lost cat' listings, as well as contacting the humane society.
Just searching for "lost cat" will bring up some useful stuff, like
'How To Find A Lost Cat Or Dog'
http://www.petrescue.com/library/find-pet.htm
I'd start by talking with the local children -- bring a picture of the cat -- and, go for walks at night wearing clothes that need a wash so you're redolent of 'home,' while shaking a bag of cat treats and calling her name. I suspect I'd also put out food as well; if there are a lot of strays, there're probably other people putting out food for stray cats -- best to up your odds of her staying as close as possible instead of finding a meal in another neighbourhood.
Good luck!

I feel bad for you..does your cat have tags?If so you could call animal control and put the bug in there ear that you've lost your cat give the tag numbers..most likely if its found they'll call you..put pictures up in the neighbor hood , on pole ..get the neighborhood kids involved and even the adults ..kind of a search party..I would be upset too..and wouldn't stop till I found my cat..I know you'll find her!!..GOOD LUCK

well the last time my cat ran away she never came back we think she went some where and died but that was because she was 20 yrs. old since your cat is young you probably should have alot of hope for her coming back you just need to put up signs every where and if your cat goes outside check places she maybe hides out there. I really love cats i have 4 myself i hope you find your cat GOOD LUCK!!!

hi,
so sorry to hear of your cat. how much time has gone by since he has gone missing? look, you can first of all get help from all your neighbours and friends. you can then check your area minutely. chances are that your cat might be quit close by and may just be scared to come out right now. you can leave your old clothes or other items of your house around your area.when my cat went missing, he turned up six hours later. so don't give up. you can also ask the neighbourhood kids. kids are very good observers and they might have noticed something about your cat. search all overgrown areas and look up in trees as well. if you hear cat fighting, you may want to check out the source as well, since you talked about stray cats, who are very resistant towards strange cats. and finally, keep your spirits up. she will turn up. keep her food bowl ready.

has your cat be spayed if not then she will be out on the prowl looking for a mate she probably will return home when she does get her checked by a vet a jag can stop any unwanted litter
also good idea to ask neighberhood children they see most things that are going on around them and maybe you'll be lucky

That happened to me once. He was gone for 2 days. But he came back.
Hope you have the same luck.
If she DOES come back...go to the vet and get a microchip put in her.
I hope she shows up for you!
Try running the electric can opener every now and then.
If she's anywhere nearby...she'll FIND her way back.

Go in your hamper and get out a dirty shirt that has your scent on it. Then leave inside of a small crate and place it outside, whether it's on your porch, or in backyard. Hurry before it gets too cold!
