He is about 8 months old, and honestly I don't believe he has ever peed anywhere except his litter box and outside. This is SO random. Talk about ruining a Saturday morning...

Wow. I really did not expect to be personally attacked. Last night I took my children to the Homecoming game. I give my cats lots of love and attention, and I really never realized the immaturity of the internet until today. Thank you for enlightening me. For those of you taking this seriously, Thank you. I can't think of any worse way to wake up on Saturday morning than this. I'm still disgusted.

Take a concidered look at the current situation, he's "obviously pissed". Cats can't be beat for "payback".

I would run, not walk him to the vet. That can be the sign of a very deadly disease that in lay terms is called crystals. Have that checked out first and if he is healthy then either he has an extremely dirty litter box which can cause coccidia-another disease deadly to cats, or another cat previously used the bedding and the smell is not completely out of it. Cats tend to go where they smell some other cat or animal has gone. Lastly, it could be that he is angry with you for something or some big change you made in his life or yours. Often that is brining in another animal into his home or another person who is usually a new person you are dating. However, I listed the answers by most to least common so get him to the vet fast. If he is not healthy there may be time to save his life and if he is healthy it may be time to look at the other causes I mentioned. By the way, is he neutered? If he is not, that should really be number 2 or 3 on this list and if he is not, you need to take care of that asap because the longer you wait, the longer this will continue and the less chance you have of neutering stopping it. If a need for neutering is the reason, then be patient, you may see him spray or piddle for a few weeks until his hormones adjust to the fact he is spayed but first and foremost check out his health. He could even have a bladder infection that simple antibiotics will cure.

If it's a male cat it's possible that he has a bladder problem. It's not very serious if it's spotted quickly and it's quite a popular illness among cats. Is it possible that he got cold recently and was he meowing in the last few days for no apparent reason? Has such a situation ever happened before of is your kitty normally litter-box trained and it was the first time? If so it might be a good idea to contact a vet. And in the future there are some cat treats containing cranberry that supposedly help to prevent those problems.

I am firmly convinced that inappropriate urination is a signal from the cat that something is wrong. It could be some stress in the household and though your cat is young for it it could mean that his urine has become too alkaline and it burns him when he urinates. Of course if he is not yet neutered it could also be his male thing kicking in.

One of my cats one morning peed on my head (the only thing sticking out from the covers) and I, too, was so shocked I couldn't believe it. So don't be disgusted and look for some reason the cat might need to get your attention and send you this "disgusting" message. He really is trying to tell you something and you need to figure out what it is.

If you feed dry food only you are really risking the cat's urine pH getting out of whack. So consider some canned food for him. And he should have a urinalysis to determine if burning urine could be the problem.

I dont know what the others told you - but the cat could very simply be telling you that something is wrong. Often if there is an infection in the urinary tract - they dont have any control as to when or where it happens. Especially if he doesnt do this more often. doing it right on your bed - means he trusts you enough to let you know he may need some help. I know it was gross - but I am pretty sure it wasnt anything too major if it was a one time thing.

The only thing I can think of would be he wanted attention or that he may have a urinary problem. Might be worthwhile to take him to the vet to check it out if this is the first or only time he's done this.

Lot of male cats spray when they come into adulthood so perhaps he's on the prowl for a female? If he hasn't been fixed, he may be sending a signal?

My Ex had a cat that got so mad at him, the cat waited until he was asleep, then sprayed all over him. That cat sprayed his chair, his shoes, his clothes in the closet and of course capped it off by spraying him in bed. The cat had been neutered but I think it was a dominance thing. I have heard of a scent thing you can get that is supposed to calm them down. Its like a plug-in air freshener that has calming phermones. I saw it in a vet supply web site but I can't remember where.
It just occured to me your cat may be trying to tell you he has a bladder infection. Best wishes!

I just wanted to say I read where you wrote you were personally attacked on here...and I read every answer and didn't see one personal attack.

Maybe your cat peed on you because you're a drama queen?

LOL, relax! It's called a JOKE!

I'm with the others that say your cat did that because something is wrong. You need to find out. Good luck! :)

Is the litter box clean?? Cats will not use a dirty litter box. It should be completely cleaned and washed every week to every other week and scooped daily. If the box smells bad to the cat, they will go elsewhere.

the only time i've got had cats soil themselves is when I found out their have been diabetic. in simple terms one ingredient that could be. each and every so often the diets that we feed our cats can convey approximately diabetes. besides the indisputable fact that that is perplexing to get vets to learn a tom cat's blood sugar, considering it incredibly is semi-uncommon.
