I have given my cat raw meat but I don't give too much.

Also cats love fresh blood to drink. I know mine does...

You can give it a little, but not too much, since raw meat may contain microorganisms that may be harmful for your cat. Cooked meat (just steam or boil it without any additional additives) is much more preferable. If your cat loves raw things, a big raw beef or lamb bone should do the trick. Take care not to give small, easily splintered bones though, as these can get swallowed, and cause damage to your furry friend's oesophagus or intestinal linings.
Also, if your cat loves the taste of raw meat, you can still cook the meat, but give your cat the cooking juice from the meat during cooking....all natural and tasty. I usu cook the meat with some chopped carrots, potatoes, etc, altogether, and serve them all up with the juice and all. My cat loves such a combi and variety.

Hope that helps.

No, you shouldn't. Cats need to eat commercial dry and canned foods. Meat can contain bacteria and parasites that are killed by cooking, but can cause problems if eaten raw. And it won't provide a balanced diet for your cat. Some might use the argument that cats eat raw meat in the wild, but it's meat that they've just killed, therefore it's extremely fresh. And wild cats get worms and stuff. Don't give your cat only canned food, dry food keeps their teeth clean, and only eating canned food can give some cats diarrhea. I give my cat dry food, I just keep his bowl full, he doesn't overeat, then each evening I give him some canned food, about 1/3 of a can, the small cans. And cats like their water to be as fresh as possible, freshen up your cat's water bowl several times a day.

No, do you know how many parasites are in meat? Do you want it to get worms? Use canned cat food for a proper diet and some dry for crunchie snack and it helps keep their teeth clean too. Also, Ecoli from raw meats can make a cat just as sick as it can you.

The only kinda safe thing is something like steak. No raw chicken or pork. I sometimes give a little ground beef. Ours prefers cooked liver.

Raw meat has bacteria. Better to give canned food or cook your own. My sis's tortoise turned carnivorous and bit her hand when she fed raw meat.

yes u can give them raw meat. we feed our cats bits of mince, not too much, chicken, chicken pet mince, chicken necks, etc

However there is special pet mince from the butchers and or the local supermarket, and special pet food places. We feed em raw meat everyday for the last 2-3 years... They r in top condition

even though animal's stomach may be a bit stronger than ours, bacteria can still manifest itself in raw meat and ultimately in your cat's tummy. if you're going to feed it meat, stick with meat. but if you occasionally give your cat dry food or canned food, raw meat is not a good idea for a kitty.

canned cat food is best for cats. raw meat like turkey breats or hamburger isn't recommended. it its like ham or something as a lunch meat that is fine but small amounts as most human meats have a high content of salt.
