I rented a room to this guy with a cat and she constantly peed in the dining room carpet. I tried several times to use a carpet cleaner/steamer. Smell gone a little, but is still faint. HELP please

I would call a professional carpet cleaner , they have excellent chemicals which do an outstanding job and will permanently solve the problem for a reasonable price . I did this and the smell and stains were completely gone after wards , no problem at all . The cost would most likely be less than 90 bucks for this permenant solution.

hiya. i've got had success taking the scent of cat pee off my mattress via utilizing that Oxy-clean stuff (won't be able to undergo in techniques the finished call) yet you will possibly desire to purchase it at maximum grocery shops & Wal*Mart as properly. in simple terms combination the powdered variety with some heat water (make a paste) and rub it into the section on the carpet it incredibly is offensive. paintings it in the two with a stiff brush or with your palms. enable it take a seat and wipe it off with a clean fabric. that's what i might propose for cleansing a carpet, the way I used it on my mattress exchange into to place some teaspoonful right into a sprig bottle crammed with heat water, shake it up til the OxyClean dissolved and then sprayed it onto the mattress, rubbing it in with an previous, clean towel/rag. worked splendidly and took out each and all the scent! stable success!

1 quart white vinegar
4 ounces vanilla extract
1 gallon water
Mix in a garden sprayer and spray carpet until it is wet to the touch. Work in with a stiff push broom and allow to dry.

After the above treatment, use a product called Capture (available at Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) according to directions.

If this doesn't work, you will have to replace the carpet.

When my cat peed in my dads house, he cut a full square out of the carpet because he claimed that once it soaks into the pad, Nothing will get it out. Pretty soon, we had a checkerboard in the bedroom and he kicked the cats outside for good. If those little bastards can't be potty trained then they can't come in the house. They live outside to this day, and when winter comes we put out a little doggygloo with an electric blanket inside to keep him warm. We are strict but not cruel. And hey sometimes it seems they pee on purpose and we just can;t have little furry animals disrespecting us...lol.

Pull out the carpet and replace it. You will have to have the slab treated also. It is one of the hardest odor to get rid of. Cats are great but I would never have one for that reason. Good luck

Anything that craps in a box...? Forget it!

There are solutions you can buy specifically for cat pee. They come in gallon jugs and cost about $30 from your local pet store. Expensive yes, but if you dont' have a cat they will do the job. You can also try a little vinegar and water.

try cleaning your carpet with ammonia - it comes in a bottle and u add it to your steamer (not all of it ) it stinks like hell when using it so have plenty of ventilation but once dry it takes all the smells with it - otherwise buy a new carpet and bill him !

You can't really get the smell out of your house or carpet. You kinda have to buy a new house and get rid of your cats! Sorry but that's the only way......i would no!
