Find something he does not like to taste and coat your fingers with it. They sell a spray at the pet store called, sour apple or bitter apple, but hot pepper juice or lemon juice work just as well. You have to make sure it is something that is not appealing to him first. You can coat your fingers with it as well as any other substances you do not want him to chew. Behavioral modification also works, if you remove your affection every time he bites he will soon learn not to bite if he wants to be petted. If you are petting him and he starts to bite you can get up and walk away or pick him up and move him to a crate or box. He will soon learn the behavior is not desired.

I've had animals all my born natural life, from cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, ferrets, horses, and to answer your question, well I always seem to break their teething habits with things or toys for them to bite on. When it came to my hands and fingers I put some hot sauce on them (not alot) and just at the tips or normally where the dog, or cat bits. That always worked for me. You could also use some other nasty tasting product, as long as it won't hurt, harm, or kill the animal in anyway. Good-luck in weening their bad habit!

Maybe he thinks you are playing with him. Ever thought about that?? Your fingers look like a cat toy to him. Maybe you should get some cat treats and feed him that. Now he won't bite your fingers. Give it a try.

ok, when he bites you, does his ears go down?
---if they do that means he is being agressive and doesnt want you to touch him..
---if they dont, then he;s is just playing with you.
the bites, if you pull away from teh cat,,, can hurt alot and leave welts like tht. but he's still tiny i bet and since he's not nutered...he's going to be playful or agressive.
if he ever gets underneath ur bed and is in a playful mood...watch ur feet. lol. it hurts more there then on ur hands.
but anyway...just look for some stuff and maybe ask a nieghbor with a cat to help you out. you cna yell at teh cat adn flick him on teh nose when he's being agressive, but if he's playing around, just play along and ignore him if u dont want tot play anymore. :)
Hope i've been a help...

Stop playing hard with it, and when it does bite make a loud noise, He will understand over time not to do it.
6 months old, he's teething and needs to chomp down on things,, it sets the new teeth , and feels great, that hurts so good feeling in his old!

Sour apple is a spray used to stop dogs from barking.... Maybe putting that on your fingers could work. I used to bite my nails, just did it without thinking. I put what was called "thumb" - not sure if they still make it - on my nails and it only took a few sour shocks to make me think twice about biting my nails. good luck

Dip your fingers in tabasco sauce or something similar. After a few times of biting and getting a bad taste, the kitten will learn not to do it anymore.

I went thru this with my cat. When she would go to bite me, I would tap her nose. When that didn't work, I squirt her with a water bottle. Not enough to soak her, just once to get the point across. Soon she would just see the bottle and hesitate to make her move. They do love to bite though when they are teething.

Give him something else to chew on. My cat actually likes the dog's rawhide bone. He chews on it while I pet him.
