That she is trying to cough up a fur ball. I had to take her back to the vet and they said it was probably due to the tube they inserted. They had to also give me antibiotics as she had an infection under her sutures. That has healed but the cough is getting worse. She is also dribbling a lot and I noticed last night the fluid from her dribble is blood stained. I am so worried about taking her back to the same vet. Is this normal after surgery is there something I can give her that may help.

I have a cat, and, when everyone in the house is either sleeping or gone out, we put our cat in the basement, with food, water (which we change reguarly), litterbox, and somewhere to sleep...he ALSO has all these items in the upper level of our house, and more. When someone is around, hes around people and such

My question is, How can I keep his water and food clean and fresh while in the basement (I dont want germs and bugs in his water) I know i have to change it often and stuff, which i do, but for the time that he and the food are down there, i want it to be clean. AND NO, keeping him in the basement while were out/sleeping is the ONLY option!

I just adopted 2 kittens (brothers). They are fixed and are perky but they keep pooping and peeing all over the place. They are litter trained but they are just being gross.
I paid $400 for them but should I get rid of one?

A kitten I know just recently received shots for a three way assorted choice of ringworms, tapeworms, and round worms. During a recent conversation with a friend, it was suggested sugar builds antibodies or for a cat or dog or anything towards that effect, basically building up their immune system

What you got to say?

I adopted a kitten 3 weeks ago, male orange tabby, said he was 4 months then but he looked 6 months old. anyways what are the best toys for him to play with to keep him active, stimulated and amused? I got him plastic balls with a bell in them and he likes when I bounce stuff in his face, like a sting with a fluffy ball at the end of it.

Last week i noticed our long haired cat had some semi bald patches on his tummy but when i asked my bf what he thought might be wrong he said that the cat had always had those. Then tonight my bf notices that in addition to the bald patches the cat has some raw scaby spots. Does he just dry sking and need some cod liver oil or could it be more serious? I'm a broke student so i dont want to take him to the vet if its nothing but if he needs to go i will definately take him.

2 year old male, neutered, had him since a kitten, very bonded to me, also have his mother now, they have bonded, she is friendlier and gentle, eats his food, is more dominant, if I play with him, she gets in between and he walks away. He seems less happy at times. I give him lots of attention, They have a large cats outdoor den with in and out access.
