2 year old male, neutered, had him since a kitten, very bonded to me, also have his mother now, they have bonded, she is friendlier and gentle, eats his food, is more dominant, if I play with him, she gets in between and he walks away. He seems less happy at times. I give him lots of attention, They have a large cats outdoor den with in and out access.

she is older and more dominant, that will probably always be the case..maybe try giving him some "special" time daily... at a certain time, alone , with her locked out of the room...try and do it at the same time daily.. even if its only 5 minutes it will re-assure him of your love... he is mad at you and that is probably why he is peeing on your couch, never-the-less.. try and get a sample of the pee off the couch... all you need is a little, a tsp. or so put some saran wrap in the crevices of the couch so it is contained. refrigerate it and then take it to your vet to make sure its not a UTI.. are your sure its him and not her?? make sure of that so if it is a UTI then you are not medicating the wrong kitty... good luck!!!
