I adopted a kitten 3 weeks ago, male orange tabby, said he was 4 months then but he looked 6 months old. anyways what are the best toys for him to play with to keep him active, stimulated and amused? I got him plastic balls with a bell in them and he likes when I bounce stuff in his face, like a sting with a fluffy ball at the end of it.

Avoid small things that they could choke on or anything that has parts that could come off like feathers cause they will choke on those. But they love anything shiny, colorful, soft, crinkly, or stringy. They also go nuts for catnip. I found that catnip tends to make them a vicious though, cause catnip gets them high and when my cat is exposed to it, he will run around biting peoples ankles and scratching the carpet, so I do not use it. Stormy, my cat, just loves his little stuffed pink mouse though. He also plays with this ball I got that looks like rolled up tin foil. Of course he will also play with bits of string, the curtains, little sticks that may get drug in after yard work....lol. But just stick to the simple stuffed mice and shiny balls. What you have works too, but watch the bell ball, check it occasionally to be sure it's not becoming damaged. You do not want this to break. Good luck and enjoy your kitty. Be patient with him though, they can be a pain sometimes...lol.

wanna know the secret for the best cat toy of all? Take a small piece or towel or a rag, and roll it up. It should three inches long, and maybe half-3/4 of an inch thick. Now, take an old fishing pole, and tie the fishing line around the center of the the rolled up rag. Now, you go "cat" fishing. You will soon find that furry friend will have a new favorite toy. My cats go nuts whenever I go near the closet I keep the fishing pole in.

My cat is 4 now, but ever since she was a kitten she has loved to play with this little tiger that has velcro on the bottom to hold some catnip. She wrestles around with this thing for hours at a time.

The little (or big) fur mice that most per stores have at the counter and a couple of paper bags right in the middle of the living room. Cheap and oh so much fun

between my cats they like, bits of foil balled up, boxes-or any container to curl up in and play in....peanuts in the shell to bat at, anything with feathers or bells, those toys that dangle from elastic from a plastic rod, cat nip bubbles, scratching post, squeaky toys, bouncing balls or tinkle balls or both, i don't recommend toy mice or birds if you have hamsters or pet birds tho...gives kitties bad ideas...

I know my cats just love these fuzzy fur like mice, bad thing is they are mabe of rabbit fur (didnt know that at first) but they will growl while carring them in their mouth, they are real soft and can cost a bit, but when it comes to our babies will spend whatever. watch the string toys you mentioned earlier that could cause a bad problem if the kitty swollowed the string part and it got stuck in its intestines. I know of a kitty that did that and it grew on its intestines and the kitty died. have fun with the fuzzy mice, it will be fun to watch.

Good choices. So are crunched up pieces of foil. Caps off shampoo bottles. If your playing with them anything tied to a piece of string. I have one that enjoys playing with a Q-tip!

My cats love it when I buy something big because I always turn the cardboard box over and cut out holes for them to climb through and swat at each other through... they just love it.
