My cats have their own room. At night they race up and down their climbing frames and chase each other around. From 10pm till 6am they are confined to their room which has toys, food and water, litter trays, climbing posts, and a crummy old sofa chair to do as they please with. They are actually really good with this routine now as it has been going on for over a yr now.

Yes,I have a one -year -old white,blue-eyed cat named Patterson, and he is,without a doubt the orneriest cat i have ever owned.he is like a toddler and gets into everything.he is also deaf,so shouting to correct him will not help. So,at night and while I'm away(that's not very often)he sleeps in a dog-cage.There is room for a litter box,and i have a feeder and water bottle attached to the side to save space and keep him from spilling his water. This is safer than letting him roam,as he will try to chew on things he shouldn't,like electrical cords, rubber bands, etc. He will also jump on your face while you are sleeping. So it's better for all that he's crated at night. He doesn't mind it;he goes to sleep right away and cries to be let out in the morning. So,yes,I think it's actually safer to crate kittens at night. It's done with dogs all the time.

We had 2 kittens who enjoyed attacking us as we slept... We would put them in the basement with a litter box, food, water and tonnes of toys. If you don't have a place to put the kittens you can crate it, as long as it is a huge crate German shepard size or bigger, so you have enought room for a litter box(kittens have small bladders) food, water and toys. Good luck and remeber this psyco kitten phase is a phase!!!

Cats are naturally noctural animals, which means they sleep during the day and are most active at night. If it bothers you, shut the door to your bedroom while your sleeping so they don't disturb you. If you put it in a crate, you risk having her meow and howl all night long, and both you and your kitten will be miserable.

lol I laughed when I read this, my kitty is now 9mths old and has settled down, but for the first 6mths it was like having a toddler, she would become wide awake at 11pm, and wreck the house, attack my feet under the bedclothes etc,
I set up a routine and would play with her for half an hour after we went to bed, just sitting in bed, using her toy mouse to make her run and chase it, till she was worn out
It was like having a toddler for a while, but shes really settled down lately, I also give her heaps of stimulation during the day, im lucky I work from home so she doesnt get to sleep all day either,

I crate mine in a large crate, with litter box, food and toys. He eats, meows a bit and goes right to sleep.

Crated kittens will get revenge when you let them out. ... Just kidding! Rather than lock up your playful, purry friend, just close your bedroom door and leave lots of toys out!

It's better to pen them up in a bathroom or garage.
If a crate is what you need, get a large one. Room for playing and a litter box.

Kitten will settle down
Have 3 cats and they usually go to bed with us, then when we're sleeping go downstairs to tease the dog

I wouldn't, probably just aggravate the hell outta it. They're usually more active at night, that's their nature. Close your bedroom door :)
