You have to train kittens to use the litter tray. If she won't go to it yet, then put it in the place she does go and then when she's using it regularly, gradually move it towards the place you want her to use it. Perhaps the place you have it has too much 'human traffic' near it - cats like privacy.

You need to encourage her to use it, as if you were her mother. Take her there after waking and after meals.

Happy toilet training!

Mother cats teach kittens to use litter trays. If you took her away from her mother too soon, you could have a problem with this. Just keep taking her to her tray - and do try putting another under the table, too. In time, she should get the point and you can think about removing the tray altogether and sending her outside.

Is the litter tray in a noisy part of the house or can anyone watch her doing her thing? they like quiet and privacy.

Hello to you and purrs to your kitten!!!

By far, the most entertaining way to litterbox-train a kitten is to start using it yourself... and the kitten will eventually get the idea. Since most people aren't ready for this, you need to just keep scooping up your kitten and putting her in her litterbox ... hopefully she will get the idea.

As gross as it sounds, if she doesn't get the idea, borrow some kitty poop and clumped pee from a friend (a close friend who won't think you are weird for wanting this) and add them to your kitten's box ... your kitten will smell kitty poo and pee and (hopefully) get the idea!

Here is a great website to help you raise your kitten...http://kittencare.com/

Good luck ... one of the many joys of kitten parenthood.
