Hi!
I think your cat is obsessed with Barbie. It could possibly be the smell of the barbie. I have a cat who carries her 'babies' around in her mouth while meowing....another who brings me his 'kills' to share..his foam rubber balls, fake mice, that sort of thing. I think maybe yours is just having fun. It may very well be just a quirk he has. Have you tried shutting the bathroom door, or does he simply yowl until you open it? Does your cat have many of his own toys to play with? If it keeps up, maybe you should consult an animal behavourist, or your local pet hospital.
My suggestion...if he's not hurting anyone, let him continue. Just keep the bathroom door shut so he can't get in there. It sounds like obsessive behaviour and it is usually caused by stress on the animal or boredom. Possibly he feels lonely at night and does this to relieve his stress. Have you thought about getting him a friend? Another cat to play with?
Good luck!

Cats are just weird.

Get rid of the Barbies for a while.

We have a cat that has been stealing socks and dropping them in her water dish for 6 years.

Purrrrrrrrr

It seems impossible, but with a little money, and a handy man, you can fix this.
Buy a display case (usually available at toy stores) and put it up where your cat cannot climb to it.
OR...
Buy a little thing of superglue, 2 strong magnets, and you have an easier solution. Glue one of the magnets to the top of the toilet, and one to the seat, so it's easy for you to open but not your cat.
Hope this helps!

Lock up the Barbies.

You need to get a lock on ur bathroom door (on the outside) you must be spending hours disinfecting those dolls
My cat just loves my makeup brushes, the bigger and fluffier the better, she takes them and hides them in my walk in closet, I have to go looking for them, when Im putting on my makeup she waits for me to look away adn she grabs them and is off, go figure
I now keep them locked away cos she learned how to open the bathroom cupboard to get to them, only way I could stop it

Are you sure your daughter just doesn't like her barbies? My cousin tried for years to get rid of her Barbies, blaming it on her brother throwing them out the window. I bet she wishes she'd thought of blaming the cat.

Wow, I have never heard of a cat being that ticked at a doll. If it were me, I would call one of those animal trainer people and get their oppinion.
