how can i stop him from constantly licking himself in the place where they operated on him? and stop him from like. running around or jumping too much. he's about 6 monthes old if age makes a difference.

My cat loves to be outside and will whine all day and night if I don't let her out to play. We adopted her from the shelter and I think she was a stray. I just found out she may be pregnant from the vet. He wants her to stay inside so she won't have her kittens outside. I am worried because she seems so sad. It is heartbreaking. I feel like a warden in prison with her. Any suggestions?

Ok heres the problem he was taken away from mom at 5 weeks. I know this is too soon but there is nothing that can be done now. The problem is he burses off from aur adult male cat. I know this sounds cute but it makes alot of noise and it is turning our adult male cats tummy brown. Problem being the adult male will not ween him and allows him to nurse. Please help.

i had 2 kittens, one has died. both kittens got on really well and played together all day. i now feel really bad for the kitten thats is left. she seems so heartbroken. i really dont know what to do.

Sorry, I am new at this. I tried to chose more than one best answer RE: BUDDY. I did not realize that I could not even give a "thumbs up" to the rest of you that sent me very very good answers that came from the heart. Thumbs up to all and for the ones that asked for a follow up, I sure will if I hear or see anything. On one hand, I'm accepting that she's gone, on another, I guess I'm still hoping that she still has more time here and that I can still give her some more precious love. I don't mean to make this all about me as I know A LOT of you have suffered a loss or are still searching. I'm not very religious and I may sound like a hypocrite BUT I am still praying for BUDDY, ALL animals, ALL of you and ALL of your pets. Will keep you posted and feel free to write if anyone needs to talk. There is someone here who really cares!!!

He till sucks on my neck and chin at night . Does he misses his mom till or is he unhappy. Or is it because he can get away with it. He only does it at night. He was old enough to be taken from is mother. Does he think i'm his mom.Because his mother left her kittens one day and never came back. My boyfriend and his mother had to raise him and his three bothers. What can I do to make him stop and to make him happy with out him doing this. I thought it was cute the first time . But I want him to grow out of it. Please help and pease dont be rude . Thank you.

His name is Little JJ. He always want's to bite . He chews on everything me and different stuff in my room . And when I sleep he nips a little on my face , arms , and my fingers and feet . I bought him alot of play toys . He even does that to my boyfriend and my stuff animals. Is he just playing or is he theething . And how can I get him to stop bitting me and my boyfriend . This is his first move since becoming part of our family. He has always been an outdoor cat but I have been advised to keep him indoors for a while after we move. Is it possible to train an older cat to use litter also does the butter on the paws thing really work. Anyone with personal experience would be much appreciated.

i got her last week. she's 14 months old and has had 3 litters. previous owner couldn't be bothered to get her spayed. I'm waiting for money off vouchers from cats protection, as i cant afford the full amount to have it done. in the meantime i've got to keep her in. shes getting really fed up, and doesn't know what to do with herself. she's not eating much either, even though food is always available to her. shes very restless, and i need ideas of how to entertain her!

I found cat in my yard eating my other cat's food, it is missing one ear with the hair above the skin removed and the would open. it was about 3" by 1". below the other ear there was a gash about 2" wide and 4 - 4 1/2" long. I have gotten almost 4 feet away before the cat get scared and runs. it is obyous that it needs and wants help. how can I give it it him?

is my cat retarded? because he always has his eyes half closed and his mouth wide open, hes always skittish and walks like a chameleon(ya know, they walk really slow and move back and forth when they take a step?), and when he's donme using the litter box, hes always pawing around the outside of the box.
what is wrong with him??

Sometimes, I notice that my female brown tabby who has been fixed last December, get her tail straight up, and starts quivering it as if she's spraying. What is it that she's doing? Or is there something wrong, like stress or illness that makes her do this infrequently?
