Did these other people not read your question? Geez manitly. I think it is beautiful how they've bonded! I don't think you'll get your kitten to stop if the older cat is allowing it. When I was young my uncle found a kitten in the road. It was wee little bitty. There was no way it should have been away from it's mama. But, we lived in the country and someone had evidently dumped it. Anyway, we fed him with a dropper until he could take a regular baby bottle. After it was apparent that "Lucky" didn't need a bottle anymore we tried to stop giving it to him. He would cry and cry and cry until we'd give it to him. He ended up weighing close to 20 lbs. He was my fat kitty. And til the day that he died he always received at least one bottle of milk. I loved him very much!!! I don't think I'd want to hear your kitten trying to suckle either. After all he/she isn't getting any milk from it. Your kitty must be using it as a pacifier. How adorable! They only thing I can think of is to scoop them up and put them in the other room when they join in this activity. :) Good luck and God bless!

Go to a pet store and Get a bottle to feed the kitten and ask what kind of cat formila to buy. They will know. Try putting the kitten by a stuff furry animal and leave the bottle there. Or you can feed the kitten yourself.Good luck.

hmmm...i would probably try finding a substitute, maybe a stuffed animal or anything soft & squishy. when you catch the kitten trying to nurse, move him to the new object. if the kitten eats dry food, try giving him a little cream or even just water out of a bottle. the kitten is missing the comfort of mama cat and needs something in her place. you might ask your vet if there is a spray or something that's safe to apply to the older cat that would discourage the kitten from nursing

Strange for a male cat to allow that. But who is it hurting? I had a friend whose female had babies. She kept one little male. He grew to be twice the size of mom & she still lets him do it. She's spayed now & there is no milk but he still does it & she lets him. The size difference makes for a pretty comical sight!

Try putting something that does not taste good on the male cats belly. Make sure it is something that won't harm the cats.
