Sorry, I am new at this. I tried to chose more than one best answer RE: BUDDY. I did not realize that I could not even give a "thumbs up" to the rest of you that sent me very very good answers that came from the heart. Thumbs up to all and for the ones that asked for a follow up, I sure will if I hear or see anything. On one hand, I'm accepting that she's gone, on another, I guess I'm still hoping that she still has more time here and that I can still give her some more precious love. I don't mean to make this all about me as I know A LOT of you have suffered a loss or are still searching. I'm not very religious and I may sound like a hypocrite BUT I am still praying for BUDDY, ALL animals, ALL of you and ALL of your pets. Will keep you posted and feel free to write if anyone needs to talk. There is someone here who really cares!!!

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about Buddy. We recently had to have our cat put to sleep as she developed about 4 different illness over a period of about 2 months. We suspect she must have been ill for some while but in the end she started to get so lethargic and completely stopped eating her favourite foods. In the end we did the best thing for her but by no means was it an easy decision to make. I still miss her terribly, even to the point where I come home still expecting her to be sat there waiting for her tea. Hope all works out well for you.

Sorry, I missed the original too but I've got a cat called Buddy. He's the youngest of 3 and my baby - even though he's 9! I love them all to bits but have to admit he's my favourite. We lost our border collie, Dennis, 2 years ago. He was 16 and had grown up with our daughter and he's still very much missed. We've got another collie now, Amy, and she's a real sweetheart but she could never take Dennis' place. Anyone who really cares about animals is fine in my book, so take care and ignore the silly answers!

I also didn't get to hear the story about your "Buddy" but I do know what it is like to lose a long time much loved pet. I had to put my protector and very smart dog to sleep on April 15. 90 and even though that I realize that he was no longer able to be the dog he was meant to be it hurt then and still hurts now. If I had the chance to clone him I would of. Great dog. Good luck on your loss.

I didn't see the story that led to this but I am sorry for your loss.
Just wanted to say that the reason you can't give a thumbs up (or down) is because you have not yet reached Level 2, when you have done that you will be able to rate answers.

This answer is more for children.............When i was young and lost a pet my parents would say that if you look up at the sky that night the brightest star would be the animal you just lost...all animals become stars( not humans nah!) i have since passed this on to many parents and children and they love it...aaawwww
i lost two moggies in quick succession not too long ago and i was heart broken inconsolable for days...hang in there it gets easier with time although you will never forget them !!!

im sorry about buddy hopefully one day when you least expect it she will come walking up to you as if no time was missed...i used to live in apt complex that had lots of strays i used to love them as i love my own and i used to feed them every single day twice a day they would wait for me and look for my car to come because they knew they were about to be fed...i have 11 cats and all of them except for 2 were strays i love them all so very much and i would do anything for them...they live a life of luxury and if i could i would adopt each and every stray that is around it kills me to see a dead cat (or any other animal) on the road i pray for it as i pass and hope that it is in a better place...maybe if buddy comes back you could take her to the vet and get her spayed and her shots and make her an inside cat so you never have to go through this again i know you will see buddy again...!!!

I don't know Buddy's story as I missed it here. I know what it is to lose a beloved cat and I hope the hurtful grieving will soon pass and you will have happy remembrances of her.
