I have two questions
We have an adult female cat about 2 1/2 years old now. We also just adopted a female kitten about 6 weeks old. They are both doing great, but the older cat hates the kitten. She dosent do anything to it, but she hides around the house and when she comes out she hides on top of stuff and watches it. If she does get near it, then she hisses and growls at it then runs away. Is there anything that i can do to help her get used to it?

Also we are renting a smaller house and the only place to put the litter boxs ( i have two now temporarily because the little kitty can not get it the box) in the bathroom, and they stink. I clean them out once or twice a day to help it. and I use the arm and hammer cat litter, and i have a air freshener in there, but it still smells. any suggestions would be great.

My kitten keeps winking continuously.

I took him the vet today and the vet said that there is nothing wrong with him ( I thought his eye was inflammed)

What could it be?

I would be able to go on a viranda of our house (2 story) where it could lay in the sun.

So is it slack for a cat to stay inside a 2 story house all the time, there will ofcourse be a scratching pole that overlooks the backyard and toys in the house.

If every one ignored these questions and not give the people that ask them the jollies they get from horrified people, they would just move on to some where else.

Hi all, I've been "adopted" by my next door neighbours cat. They have two small children and often put the cat out both for its own safety and for practicalities sake. They still love her and feed her, but during the day she has started wandering over to my house for a little attention. Now I love cats so she is always welcome here - and I've been very careful *not* to feed her so she will always return home at the end of the day. She often just seems to want company and comes and lies on my desk while I work at my computer. My neighbour has no problem with this as they know where she is and are happy that she's getting attention that sometimes they don't have the time to give.

However, lately she has started to spend more and more time with me - and sometimes even curls up in the corner overnight. Again I have no problem with this, but I'm beginning to feel guilty that next door aren't seeing her very often. How can I encourage her to go home without p*ssing her off?

There was an ad in the paper today for two cats, which my husband and I answered (as we were on the lookout). When we went to the home of the people giving them up we were told they were 10 years old and the couple had had the cats for the cats whole lives They were spayed females. Monoco indoor, Rinky in-and-out They were getting rid of the cats because the couple's son was comming back home (after many years away) and is very alergic to cats. We met Monoco while we were there. She came out and greeted us right away and spent the whole time we were there weaving in and out of our ankles. Rinky, hid under a bed while we were there. Monoco came home with us immediately, Rinky was brought over about an hour later. As soon as Rinky was dropped off the two started fighting, and now, about 6 hours later, it's still going on. Also, Rinky keeps clawing to get outside, and I can't let her out (apt.). I don't think it will stop. My husband and I are wondering what we should do. What would u do?

I found my kitten in our backyard and adopted her. It took me a few months to actually get her, but she slowly began to trust me and eventually I was able to adopt her and keep her as an indoor kitten. She has never purred though. She never purred while she was a stray cat outside and I have never heard her purr.

She is happy at home and is playful and loves my other cat, her tail is up and she'll rub against my leg and arch her back and head butt me, but she has never purred. I've made sure to give her special attention too, but still nothing.

I was wondering if this is normal or if it could be she was traumatized at some point and that is why she doesn't purr.

Ive had my tic tic since she was maybe 3wks old. She was abandon by her mom so i did my best in taking care of her. She's about 4 years old now. But since she was young ive always noticed something was off about her. If she would be laying down and were to here something, most cats pop ther heard up and point there ears up, she does all that but her head starts to rattle. also when she runs around her back legs seem to go out on her every once in a while at least once a day she'll stumble. When she jumps up on the furniture, she over shots it and falls off. Almost every night her and my other cat play with each other and they'll run around, but she always falls into walls or just plan runs into them, but she never seems to be hurt. Besides those problems she's seems to be a happy hearlth cat. could she have some kind of neurological problems. my mom thinks so, but she tells me cats like that dont last long. Can these be curried.

He's the runt of the litter, and very affectionate. Loves to be cuddled and purrs a lot. When he was in his cage at the animal shelter, he kept meowing until he got my attention. He did look like my ideal kitty (I wanted a gray and white tiger cat), but he has totally won me over.

My 13 year old male cat is not looking after himself properly. From his middle towards hit tail he is no longer grooming himself. He is a long haired cat and despite daily brushing he gets in such a state that I have to take the clippers to him every few months and shave him. Why does he no longer groom himself? I thought cats were supposed to be fastidious animals.

I recently got a price for getting my kittens neutered at my vet- HOLY CRAP- super expensive!! I have seen clinics and rescue shelters that offer MUCH cheaper than the vet- I just want to make sure that these are safe- anyone have any experience with them or know much about them?

I have 3 grays and I can't tell what they are. One of their heads is more rounded than the other 2. They are all from different litters and are strays that I've taken in. I adore these cats, and would like to know what breed they are. My Vet wasn't sure. Should I switch vets LOL?
