Cats - October 2006

Does anyone else in the world have a cat that plays fetch? My cat loves to play fetch and chase me around the house like a dog.

a good 50 stray cats that hang around their house, I'm worried about fleas or my son bringing something home that my cats will catch and get sick. My cats are indoors.

im getting two black kittens one is all black and the other has white paws and a white patch on his face. i was thinking of naming them boo and spooky. got any other suggestions that are halloween/spooky related?

I have put out a box with a towel in it for them. The mother is extremely skittish and skinny, definitely looks like a stray. I was surprised when she finally let me pet her. The kitten when I first saw it had the sleek fur and eyes closed, looked like a day, maybe 2 days old. I have no problem taking the mother to the vet, but at this time she won't let me pick her up, I can only pet her as long as I am sitting still. The kitten is now walking, or should I say stumbling LOL, and is furred out, cute little thing.

my cats been missing since last night, he's an indoor cat and we rarely let him out. We believe that he got out while someone left the door opened and didnt realize it. Havent seen him since 10:00 last night and am worried to death... Does anyone know if cats come back? Do they know their way home? Also could you give me suggestions as to what i should do, we have search the neighborhood quite a bit and found nothing... anything would help, thank you.

Yesterday I found two male neighbour cats hanging around my cat. They wouldn't leave her alone and she was hissing at them. One of the cats is black and started chasing her. Since then I haven't seen her. The black cat now constantly comes around to our house and starts meowing, as if he is looking for her. What's going on? Has something happened to her? Why is the black cat meowing 24/7? What should I do?

I don't agree with declawing but the trouble is my cats' nails grows oh so quickly. How often should I cut the nails so I can know that he won't hurt me or any of my family members when he's playing. Any reccomendations?

My Tika was adopted from a local shelter. I had always wanted a 'Tortie' colored cat because most of the ones I met were pretty friendly and intelligent. And the local shelter had a Tortie kitten who was not shy...That's Tika. My first cat, Sylvester(rest in peace), was given to me as a kitten in 1986, I had him until he died in 1999.

As a kitten he took a few licks on the edge of a beer can and now he's an alcoholic! If someone has a beer can he will get in their lap and try and sneak drinks when the person isn't looking. If someone has a bottle he will try and wrap his paws around the neck and bring it down to himself. Do they have AA for cats? Will a few licks of beer do any harm to him? What's the legal age limit for a cat to drink because I don't think he's 21? Do you think he will peer preasure my other cats to drink?
