Midnight. Halloween. Goblin. Scarecrow. Autumn. October. Black Cat. Moonshine. Blacky. Ghost. I think Boo and Spooky are your best bets though. You could name them Freddy for Freddy Krueger, Jason, or Michael for Michael Myers. How about some of the characters from other scary movies or the Rocky Horror Picture Show like Rocky. Pumpkin or Jack O' Latern (Jack for short). Think about scary movie names. Ichabob Crane (is that spelled right?). I like your choices the best. Good luck with your new kittens. Hey, how about jinxy (it means he's jinxed like bad luck) and it was the name of the cat in Meet the Parents.

I was going to suggest Spooky (I had a black cat long ago with that name); others I can think of are: Inky, Onyx, Shadow, Merlin, Midnight, Pixel, and Smokey.

Cocoa, Luna, midnight are some more traditional ones, but I think Boo and Spooky would be adorable names! I think you got a couple winners...

My daughter got a black kitten when she was 16. Since she was taking Spanish in high school, she named her Noche', (pronounced NO-Chay), which means night. Maybe you can take a word and translate it to another language. For instance, I'm part Swedish so I searched the web for 'Swedish dictionary' and it came up with a REALLY COOL kids translation dictionary with pictures. Here's what I found:
Night is Natt and Day is Dag
Black is Svart and White is Vit...so.....svart-n-vit? Okay, maybe not!
Kitten is Kattunge
Born in August??....AuGUSti
Anyway, you get the picture.......good luck!
