I used to have a cat that loved my white russians. He'd take a few licks and be mellow as can be the rest of the night. He was a little strange. He also got high on smelling absorbine jr. But anyway, a sip or two of alcohol is not going to hurt your cat. A whole drink, bottle or can of beer could be a different story though.
As for peer pressure, I don't think so. My other cats would see Koshi drinking the white russian, run over to get some themselves, sniff it and walk away. Nobody drank but him.
By the way, he lived to be 16 years old.

He must be at least between 2 and 3 years old - that would make him 21 in cat years, right?
I had a dog who used to drink my rum and Coke if I left it in reach. A few licks of beer is probably not toxic, but I wouldn't offer more than that. Of course, a really serious hangover might just cure him.

Are you being serious, this is stupid, use your common sense. A few licks of beer will not harm a cat, my dog had a whole bottle of wine and ha was okay. There is no legal age for a dog to drink, that's just like asking if there is a legal age for a rabbit to eat carrots and celery mixed together. Next time try using common sense and also try not to be naive.

Don't worry, my dog likes beer too. He loves Sundays when people come over to watch football because there is beer everywhere. Our one friend did leave his beer (in a glass) unattended and we found dog trying to drink out of the glass. Obviously large amounts aren't good, but a lick of the bottle every once and awhile...makes him happy.

Honestly, I don't think anyone should joke around about it. Alcohol can kill a cat. I get p*ssed off when anyone says anything about things like that and says 'it's a joke'. I've seen dogs and cats that have been traumatized and even killed by poisoning and other acts of cruelty. That's why I post the anti-cruelty things here.

Stop letting your cat have beer. Keep them at high grounds. This is the same for dogs, any alcholic drinks could make your animal sick if you aren't lucky!
Here's a list that's a BIG no-no for all types of animals. Read it carefully folks, the animal will live longer and you'll have many more years!

Is this supposed to be a serious question, bc I know of dogs that do that. My dog likes champagne if she can get a hold of it. Don't let your cat drink it if it is at all possible, it could make him sick.

I don't think a little every now and then would hurt but be careful he doesn't drink too much just as with humans it can harm the liver.
