Unless cats are a specific breed such as a siamese or persian, they are called domestic short hair (DSH) or domestic long hair (DLH). Some black and white cats have a marking which is called "tuxedo". Maybe that is the answer you are looking for!

in basic terms like over ninety seven% of the cats in the international - this cat isn't any particular breed. The Bombay is an exceptionally high priced pedigree cat and breeders do no longer randomly breed them in with family cats so it truly is totally no longer likely to locate a mix. Plus how does it resemble one? because of the fact it truly is black? a good number of cats are black. And if its eye shade resembles that of a Bombay properly it somewhat is because of the fact eye shade and coat shade are genetically appropriate. it truly is quite uncomplicated for black cats of any breed - or of no breed - to have gold eyes. And FYI to the guy that suggested it truly is a "hassle-free American Shorthair" - it isn't the "usual housecat". the yank Shorthair is a pedigree cat. The term for a cat of no particular breed is family shorthair.

I don't think it's a breed, but they call that pattern a tuxedo cat, if it's what I'm thinking of (mostly black, with white mostly on stomach).

Ok, a picture would help. Several breeds can be black & white. How long is his hair? He's probably your average Domestic Short Hair or Domestic Long Hair.
