I started my cats on the litter when they were about 4 weeks old. But they didn't have a momma cat. Your momma cat makes them go so I would watch her and see when she stops licking them. I would start feedind them soft food around the same time. When you start feeding them food should be aroud the time you start litter training. I would try to keep them with their momma till they are atleast 8 weeks, thats what most vets will tell ya.

I didn't start my kittens w/litter box training till 4-5 wks old. At this time they also started to eat kitten chow, not much because they were still nursing. I let my kittens leave between 6-7 wks when they are litter box trained and can eat and drink water. Good Luck. I bet they're adorable.

Put the litter box where they can get to it now, as they become more mobile they will be able to get into it. They will make a mess first and track litter every where but, digging to go potty is a natural instinct and it will not take long for them to figure it out, you do not have to train them. They will do this all by themselves. They should not leave mom until they are eight weeks, but you can start them on kitten food at 3 to 4 week, every one does it different, I always bought canned kitten food, put some water in it, and mashed it up so it looked like mashed potatoes. It takes a few times but they will get the hang of it, they learn by watching mom, so be prepared for her to eat most of it. On the other hand, you can wipe a tiny bit on their noses but again they are fast learner, I have posted a link below for you, if in the event you wanted to do a little research on your own, I wish you all the luck, and hope this was in some way helpful to you.

leave a litter box out where they can get to it. if they are able to get into it they will probably just follow mommys example.
they can have hard food at about 3-4 weeks, the general rule is- if they try and succeed in eating it they can have it.
normaly kittens will stay with mom till 7-8 weeks old, but they can leave mom without any problems as earily as 5 weeks old.
just remember the more human attention kittens get in the first 7 weeks of life the more they will like (and want to be around)humans for the rest of their lives.

They should stay with the mom until at least 8 weeks old. They need the nutrients and antibodies the mom's milk will provide. She will teach them to use the litter box and how to groom themselves through her examples. You can supplement their nursing with kitten food at about 6 weeks or so. Moisten the kitten chow to make it easier for them to eat. If you plan on finding them homes, they can get their first set of shots at 8 weeks old and soon after that, if mom isn't pregnant already, get her spayed.

I think you're supposed to wait 10 weeks or so before they leave their mom. I've never had to really train any of my kittens to use the litter box. Just put them in there a couple times and they usually know what its for.

i would wait until at least 4 weeks to try to feed them kitten food preferably purina one kitten food in dry form very easy for them to chew...but they may still nurse from mommy time to time and you can get some whiskas pouches and put the gravy onto the kitten chow to make it more appealing and soften it even more..maybe 6 weeks to try litter training but it wouldnt hurt to try and put them into mommy's litter box to see what they will do and 8 weeks they should be fine to leave mommy good luck

i used to foster kittens, and they were on wet food til about 7 weeks. They should have learned litter box training by watching their mom, that's how ours learned, they should be at least 8 weeks to leave their mom.

you should start to poty training your kitten right know,"I know I have 2 of my own there 3 month old's",know is a perfect age and they will go away from there mother when there ready. Also just start to put kitten food where you are keeping them. And when know-one is in the house keep them away form places that they could get hurt in like: a fish tank,or valuables. One more thing whatch out when your closing your fridge they can get hurt BAD!

show them them the litter box daily and they'll use it on their own. don't start with food until they have most if not all of their teeth, and i would start with softer kitten food maybe even canned food. dry food is not only harder to chew with baby teeth but usually easier to digest as well.
