Some helpful suggestions from Perfect Paws:
"If he begins to bite or scratch you, immediately scream "OUCH," stop the play session, walk away and ignore him. Curtailing a play session is an extremely potent punishment. Your cat will soon learn that it is his own rough behavior that causes the abrupt end of an enjoyable play session.
If your cat attacks you in play, entice him to attack when your are prepared with a plant sprayer. A few repetitions of an attack-squirt sequence should convince him to attack his toys instead of you. "
BTW, the squirt bottle works WONDERS! We recently had to cat-sit an adult cat that had been allowed to walk on counters, sinks and tables by his real owner. We did not want that to happen at our house! It took only 1 spray from the bottle at each location, along with a firmly shouted "NO!", to break the cat of this habit! And, yes, it still loves us and comes for petting, etc. Cats need discipline, too, along with love.
Good luck!

I am not exactly sure why kittens do this, but most do. You are probably right in assuming that Little JJ is teething. The behavior can be stopped, though. Get a water gun and fill it up (with water, of course) and keep it handy. Anytime he starts to do the biting thing, squirt him with it. He won't really have an idea where the water is coming from, but eventually (if you are consistent with the reprimanding) he will stop when he realizes that water comes from nowhere when he's biting you two. The water gun is a very effective tool when training a cat/curbing behavior. I hope you find something that works for you, and take care!

I keep reading answers from people that are telling you to "POP" him on the nose. Now, even though I am NOT a big cat lover, you should not do this because a kittens nose structure is actually very delicate and it doesn't take much to injure this animals cartilage and besides your kitten will have no clue as to what your doing and why, as in....Why is this person banging on my poor little nose??? If you believe in physical reprimand, DO what his mother would do and scruff him behind the head by taking a hand full of hide, not just fur and with a little shake, move him away from your hand, foot etc. He will more likely, instinctively know that he shouldn't be doing this. The water bottle thing might be alright if you don't mind a wet body part or bed but you stand chance of your cat becoming afraid of you and might be afraid of showing affection later on which brings up the last part of what I think and please don't confuse the difference between affection and being mean or teething

Little JJ is just being a kitten. Some kitties do this and some don't. When my cat was a kitten she licked everything and then would nibble on it afterward. Now she still licks but no more nibbling. I guess cats just grow out of it. Good Luck
By the way, keep your bedroom door closed at night!

He's just going through a teething stage. lol, he sounds cute. You can't do much, you could try tabasco sauce on the spots that he bites you and when he bites them again....yeah. But I'm not sure that mite be a little to much. Just wait it out for a bit. I know when my cat was doing that I just got a thick glove/blanket/something to cover my hand and wrestled with him...gently so that when he bit it didn't hurt. Hope I helped.

Spray him with water and firmly tell him no whenever he does it. He'll take the hint that whenever he bites, he gets wet and that is something he won't appreciate. He won't hate you for it. I've done it to 2 of my 4 and they have not suffered any ill effects from it. Trust me. Some cats like to gnaw and those little baby teeth hurt! Try the spray bottle. It works most of the time.

Get him some chew toys. When he bites inappropriately, tap him on the nose with your finger. If that doesn't work, squirt him with a water bottle with watered down bleach. That will eventually have a Pavlovian Effect on him and he'll stop, the little savage.

He's being a kitten. To stop him from biting you and your significant other you have to let him know that it hurts. Say ouch in a sharp tone then tap him on the mouth. It will take awhile but he will get the idea. This is normal for kittens and they do it to their mothers until the mom shows them who is boss also. Good Luck and don't be to rough.

Little JJ (what a cute name), like you said he is just playing. All you can do is wait for Little JJ to mature or lock him out of the bedroom at nigh when you guys are sleeping. Enjoy Little JJ while he still is a kitten they're so much funn!!

Just tell him no! --raise your voice--when he bites you. Use a squirt bottle or water gun (not like a supersoaker that will drown him or anything)--just spritz him every time he bites. You will break him of the habit. But some cats are just assholes--it is in their personality. If that is the case, he will mellow out with age, and that is the best that you can hope for.
