I have three cats, two females and one boy. The are all the same age, and the male has been neutered, however the females have not been spayed yet. The oldest of the two females has been going through heat the last two months, and recently stopped urinating in the litterbox. We have two litterboxes and we clean them out every day or everyother day. She has no problem, it seems, with defecating in the boxes, but she refuses to urinate in them. Her favorite items have been any loose clothes, rubbermaid lids, and most recently, plastic bags. We plan on getting her fixed as soon as possible. Will this solve the problem? Why did this problem start to begin with? How can I get her to start using her box again? This problem must be solved since her urinating on the carpeting is totally unacceptable due it being an apartment. Please, help!

My tortie cat, Missy, has really packed on the pounds since growing out of her kitten stage. She is 3 years and 3 months old. She was the skinniest thing as a kitten but seems unhealthily overweight now. She has an adopted 5 year old brother whose weight is just fine. They're indoor cats, eat the same "indoor formula" food and get regular shots. She's never had any disease or worms. They both seem to be equally active.

My cat is holding one ear to the side and when he jumped off the bed this morning he staggered to the side a little. I treat him with Revolution monthly (takes care of ear mites) and there is no odor or discharge from his ear. Any ideas?

He is 14 weeks old and when you stroke him he just tries to bite and scratch. He also bites my feet when I've got no shoes on. He didn't used to do it - just started a few weeks ago.

My cat has been diagnosed with diabetes. How difficult is it to use the needle to inject the insulin? Even the sight of a needle makes me queasy.

I know that most people hate the fact that cats get declawed. This is drilled into my head. I got it.

But I had to get it done. I tried finding advice online on what to do when the cat comes home afterwards but all I can find is "DON'T DO IT" "IT'S LIKE HAVING YOUR FINGERNAILS CUT OUT". I want to make him comfortable when he comes home, so any advice?

Ok I have 4 cats so dont even try and say get rif of 1, not gonna happen. Anyhow I have 2 boys and 2 girls, the girls dont like anyone and the boys are best buds. The youngest boy (Bean) I raised from 2 weeks old as he was neglected by his mama. When I brought him home none of the 3 cats wanted anything to do with him. I tried to teach him things like a mama kitty. Eventually my other male (Lofu) decided he would clean the kitten and they have bonded, they have to be in the same room together all the time. Anyhow now Bean is grown up and he terrorizes my girls. THEY SCREAM. He just chases them down or hunts them. This needs to stop. They are all neuteret/spayed so its not a mating thing. Ive tried saying no, scruffing him, howling at him/hissing, chasing him down, NOTHING WORKS. This cat doesnt care!! Recently ive tried locking him in a room for 10 mins. Dunno if it works yet. What can I do to get this cat to stop chasing?

My cat Savanna, Buddy, and a couple other keep going where they don't belong. I knock them down, but still I catch them later on another counter. I don't know how to keep them from going where they don't belong. Sometimes this includes taking over the trash can. Please help. I want the cats off the counter top and on the floor.

I have 2 9 week old kittens that I've raised for the last 7 weeks. Both were eating fine and all of a sudden, a week ago the female started refusing all food. Every bite I get down her is a struggle. She's seen the vet as recently as the 27th for her shots, and I did mention this but the problem is getting worse. Her brother is very small for his age, but eats well and is now 1 lb 9 oz. She is down to 1 lb. I've tried various canned kitten foods, such as Science Diet, Sophisticat, Friskies, regular adult canned foods such as Fancy Feast, Whiskers, and Science Diet dry kitten food; canned tuna in water... you name it, I've tried it (including the human baby food meats). I'm giving her a little nutri-cal on my finger each day, to try to keep her blood sugar up. She refuses KMR and table food. ANY ideas???

I do foster care for the Humane Society and I've never run into this before! I'm really worried about her. She is failing.
