My male cat is a year old he has been nutered. Today my friend brought her kitten over he threw a fit didn't like it so i made her take it home. Now that the kitten is gone my friend is staying with me for a few days my cat is hissing and growling everytime she walks in the room. This is not normal behavior for him. Anyone know why he would be acting this way all he has to do is hear her voice and he starts freaking out.

I found three adorable, stray kittens in front of my house a few days ago. They hang around the bench and in my front yard which I don't mind at all. I left out bit of ham and bologna and cup of water for them. They are wary of me and are scared if I make any sudden movements or if I go towards them. My neighbor kid told me today that that there is a mother cat with some kittens down the street.

Should I just leave the kittens be and let the mother find them? Should I bring the kittens to the mother myself? (I'm not sure how I could do that since that cats run off if I make any sort move towards them.) Or should I call my local animal shelter?

I'm also thinking about maybe keeping one of the kittens as a pet if they start to get used to me. Is that a good idea since it's a stray?

Any advice or suggestions?

Is there any special detergent or anything to wash the clothes in to get the smell out? I hate to just throw them away.

I was told not to get clumping litter for my kitten because it will stick to his paws and get over the house and stuff and was told to not get one that has odor control chemicals (not sure why about that one). I wasn't sure so today I bought the crystal kind. I get my kitten Saturday so I have time to exchange it for something else if it is not a good one. Any thoughts?

Upon arriving to work this morning I found a lonely, emaciated, filthy kitten. Kitten looks to be about 8 weeks of age and is ALL skin and bones. Being the animal lover that I am I went right to the pet store and bought all the essentials. I bathed the kitten, gave it formula, food, water, and a bed. Its eyes are really goopy still, even after the bath. I made an appointment with the vet, but its not for 5 more days. What is the best treatment I can give this little survivor over the next few days until the vet?

I'm going to get a cat everyone in my family wants one except there is one problem. My dad has cat allergies. When he was in colladge he got bit by a cat and was put in the hospital for a week. 3 years ago he got a scratch test when they did cat he got a medium sized red bump. My question is, can I still get a cat without hurting my dad? Also is he only alergic to the spit and not the fur? Because when the cat bit him he got a reaction and the scratch test used spit.

Ive had my cat about five years now and every summer he gets these scabs all over his nose and ears. It seem like every year it gets worse. Now he has a couple of quarter sized scabs on his body. The weird thing is that it goes away in the winter. We have taken him to several vets and none of them really now what is wrong. My dad thinks he might be suffering and wants to put him down. I want to do anything to save my cat. Is there anyone out there with ideas? Please help me if you can!!

i had just recieved an 8 week old calico from a friend of ours she has had all of her shots except for her second booster. She hasent been fixed yet that will be in october or november. But back to business the first day that we had brought here here she was fine running around playing and such but wasnt eating anything. So we figured she just wasnt hungry. Well then yesterday she had eaten a little bit but then hours later threw it up and she also has runny poop. the lady that we had gotten her from said it is normal for a kitten in a new setting to have runny poop and throw up here or there but im worried. it is now day three since we got her and we took her temperature today and it was 102.1 which is great for a cat also she sleeps a whole lot but she dosent play anymore well a little but she mainly follows me around and sits on me. Is there something wrong or is she ok im worried i dont want anything to happen to her please help very concerned.

thanks
adam

My cats took a toy they love and managed to rip all the feathers out of the end (it's one of those fishing line toys with feathers on the end) and then wrapped the line attached to the stick in figure eights and circles around the leg of one of our chairs and even went under it.

My cat went missing almost a month ago now. I love him & I miss him like crazy. He looks like a russian blue but he's just a regular domestic shorthair. I'm pretty sure he was stolen, as I haven't found a body. He went missing from the hunter valley in NSW Australia. If you have him can you please bring him back.
