He could either have something in his eye...or it could be an eye infection...either way...take him to the Vet to get checked out. Eye Infections are VERY easy to treat.

It could have gotten a bacteria from whatever got it dirty.
Fecal matter, etc., or pehaps a scratch, which will certainly cause a personality change in your cat.
If you were suddenly blinded in one eye you would be depressed too. Many times a vet can give you drops or ointment to put in the cats eye to clear up the infection.
Take kitty to the vet,as soon as possible, otherwise a bacterial infection can cause blindness rather quickly.

I have a cat that has had one runny eye for well over a year....other than the fact that I don't like the way it looks it has caused no problems for my cat but she also has not seemed to be in pain or any other sidns of distress. If it really concerns you take your cat to a reputable vet and have them look at it.

Do NOT put Neosporin on your cat's eye.

Take him to the vet immediately. If it is an infection, and spreads to the other eye, he could be permanently blinded. Take him to the vet.

It could be an allergy to what ever you used to bathe it in..or just cold in it's eye. Just wipe it with a warm cloth and put some neosporin original ointment on it. Should help..it always did my kittys.

OK if your cat is a Persian they tend to get watery eyes and runny eyes, but if your cat does not usually have watery eyes I would call my local veterinarian and ask for advice...
