Pure bred cats of any kind are expensive.
If breed and papers are important, I would check with veternarians in your area. They would know who the good breeders are. Know the ones who have good blood lines, not interbreeding mothers with sons, sisters with brothers.
If the paperwork isn't your reason you want one. Check your local humane society. They may not have one at the time, but may have one come in, and if they know you are wanting one, will give you a call. Or if you just want one that "looks" like a Russian Blue, again, the humane society. My son got one that even the vet said really looked like a russian blue. He wasn't, but, who's to know.
PETFINDER.com is also an awesome site to find a cat to make part of your family. They do have purebreds too.
Good luck with your search, and again - if you use a breeder, check them out closely. You don't want a cat that has some genetic problem that came about from inbreeding that could cause your new kitty to have health problems, or even lead to an early death.

From a breeder, it can be anything from $350+. But you should check the shelters and rescues, because although they may not be purebred there are many cats that come in with the Russian Blue coloring. Get the look for less money, and you'll be saving a life.

A purebred starts around $500.00 if you can afford it, get one. They are the most wonderful, beautiful cats I've had the pleasure of owning. He died at 14 & I will never have another cat.
