I want to hear the cutest or most extraordinary thing that your African Grey has done. Mine is 10 yrs old male and has said or done some of the funniest things.

One morning when I uncovered his cage he looked at me and said " Good Morning, Grumpy"

He picked Grumpy up rather quickly, as I have only said it to him 3-4 times when I can tell he is in a rather fowl ( No pun intended) mood and doesn't want to get up in the morning.

He's my precious " Little Boy" and I just couldn't imagine life without his daily antics.

Driving into Tacoma from Gig Harbor between Olympic and the new toll booths towards bridge I saw at left by center dividing concrete blocks a mommy duck and eight babies. Does anyone know if they were rescued before the made the bridge or got hit? We called and fish and game was notified. But, were they saved?

She cannot fly but is old enough to chirp and screech. Mom and Dad (bad father's day---bad joke) cannot come down and bring her back to the nest. Should I feed her bread crumbs until she can fly???? This sounds crazy but I am serious--poor thing! Kids with stupid answers can proceed to next question.

She keeps chirping and flying around in there and playing with her toys all at once! She doesn't do this when she's away from the window. Is this normal? And I can't let her out either (we had too many problems and I'm just gonna wait until I train her to go on my finger and I get a net in the house just in case).

I got a new cockatiel for 4 days now. he hasnt eatten much unless i feed him by my hand and take him out of his cage. he always goes for the seeds that are mixed with the pellets. he'll eat those first then he'll eat the peppers. but once thats done, he wont touch the pellets. but how many should he be eatting on average. and please dont say it depends because i asked his vet and he said the same and i asked the breeder and she said the same. i just need an average because im a new bird owner and dont know. like around 5-10 pellets a day? 10-20? 30-40? 50-60? 100-120? please help! i'm afraid my bird isnt eatting much.

Any ideas as to what kind of food they like aside from worms and bread?

It's actually really cute. I was doing some gardening for my mother yesterday when it first appeared. I was digging up the soil and it kept flitting in and out to pick worms from the earth when it thought that I was not looking...
Eventually I started finding the worms myself and would put in a small area of the garden for the bird to come and get them. It would flit in grab the worms, then fly off. I then put the worms in this area and would whistle and the bird would appear, I'd point to the worms and it would got an get them.

Today I turned up at my mum's again and when I went into the garden, I whistled again and it appeared then I put the food down and off it went to get it. It even stood about 6cms form me when I was digging... I thought these type of birds were scared of humans.. but this one is so friendly and I actually look forward to seeing it now.. ! LOL

It doesn't seem to be hurt and it makes alot of noise. Its eyes are open and it seems to be losing its baby feathers. It has short wings and cannot fly yet. Is there someone I can call that takes care of wildlife in the Connecticut area? What do I do to keep it alive until I can get it to someone qualified to take care of it?

Our beautiful little girl Scooter (4 year old Australian blue heeler) recently got into rat poison. Thank God we realized it very early, I am guessing as we got her right in at the vet and they saw her right away. They took EXCELLENT care of her and even though we paid them of course, I want to do more. Does anyone have a cute idea that my 3 dd's could make to show the vet/staff how much we appreciate their help (besides a card)? This really is a miracle that she has done so well, and we want to let them know how appreciative we are. Thanks!

My cat attacked this poor little baby crow, it was so scarred i had to try and help it. So i took it in a blanket and put it in a box with a dish of water and some seeds....gave it a little worm last night when i found it. I dont think his wing is broken just hurt, because yesterday when i was seeing if he was ok he kept hoping away and trying to hide in the corner. Though his wings today are both at his sides, and not sticking out like it was yesterday. Since I dont think it is broken i was just wondering how long you might think it will take to heal. I put some blueberries and a stip of processed meat in there too cuz i couldnt find any worms. any advice on what i should do. I know his wing was hurt because he wouldnt fly away when i kept walking up to him. so can anyone help me? i just want him to be better so i can release him asap

I got my African Grey "Sydney" 8 years ago as a tiny baby. I hand fed her myself several times a day to ensure that she would bond to me. The first 3 years were great....But then she suddenly turned on me, and fell in love with my mom and dad... The two of them can reach into her cage whenver they want...pet her head, and even give her kisses... I stopped trying to touch her after many blood drawing bites. Recently, my mom placed her onto the floor beside me, she walked right over to where I was sitting and said "Hey bird" and then bit my leg...She also calls me a B*%$@ from inside of her cage!!! She doesn't say it when anyone else is around!! My parents just bought a new house, and my mom says that Sydney is my bird and must move in to my apartment with me...How can I make this situation work!?! How can I get Sydney to be happy with me?? I don't want to live with an evil bird for the next 40 years... Any suggestions, PLEASE!!!

I fed my zebra finch two small worms, and he loved them. Then he pecked at his toes, because they looked like worms. He kept pecking at them and I couldn't stop him! Now his toe it all black a crinkled, and he often holds it up like a flamingo and balances on one leg at the bottom of his cage. I'm wondering if Ican use neosporin for his toe. I feel so guilty! I should have never fed him a worm!

His breathing sounds very breathy, and you can tell he has a stuffy nose. He has a clear liquid coming from his nostril, and hes been pooping alot more latley.
If you know what he has;
what is it called, is is serious, what is it caused by, does he need to see a vet or can I do something about it, is it fatal and anything else you know.
Please dont just guess and if you dont know please dont comment saying "I dont know sorry." I need answers not you telling me that you dont know.
Please tell me asap, and thnk you very much.

I was thinking of something simple like a mallard.
