No. Take it to the vet and have them do it properly. The beak is very easy to damage and must be done by a professional. If the you do it wrong the beak will likely start bleeding and the bird will stop eating because of the pain. If there is one thing that must be done by the vet it is beak trimming.

No, you can damage the beak. You don't even have take it to the vet, but taking it just once to get it cut might be a good idea, and then I would recommend a specific toy for birds so that doesn't happen. All I do, is buy these hard rock-like toys that you hang in the cage, & birds love to peck at them, and it's purpose is to file down the beak. They are very cheap, usually like $1.99 at any local petstore. I'm not sure what the toy is called, but you can just ask your local pet store or vet, and they will find it for you. Hope this helps, good luck!

Yes cause the beak can grow into ingrown or underbite.
For example, like it may not get to gnaw or eat, or play with anything in a normal manner. Therefore, you can use a cuttlebone, you can put it in the cage, also it makes your beak short + it has a source of calcium added to your lovebird's beak

There is a good blood supply throughout the beak, so have a vet do it. I would be more worried about WHY the beak grows too long. Normally, a bird's beak continuously grows and sheds, but if your birds beak is overgrown, this is a sign of a medical problem such as nutritional deficiency or disease. Have him tested.

You need to take her to an avian vet to get the beak looked at & trimmed if necessary & find out why the beak is growing.
It can be becaus she's not got enough natural & chew things for her to keep her beak trim or because there is an underlying illness.

Have a vet do it. You can usually get the nails done at the same time for no extra cost. If you feel confident and have someone who can help at home, ask the vet to show you how to do the procedure yourself next time, but definitely let the vet do it until you know what you're doing.

take your pet to the vet to have them trim it...u should also ask them if you should get your pet a cuttlebone to put in their cage because those will help keep the birds beak trimmed and its also full of calcium =]
