No they are not. I've seen so many bird shows where they use rubber snakes to show how an owl would hunt.
They are very keen on attacking these snakes. And before they get to bite into the rubber snake, the handler feeds them a bit of meat to distract them.

well we had some birds living in our car port, not quite as big as a owl, but to get them to leave we put a stuffed snake toy where they usually perched, and it kept them away. lol silly but effective!
so im guessing it might work with an owl

Afraid? No. Do I have a healthy respect for vipers and other poisonous snakes? Yes. I happen to be the proud owner of a trained spitting one-eyed trouser snake.

no owls eat snakes so a rubber one isnt very scarry but ducks are afraid of them :)

I don't think so. I know some Owls attack & eat snakes- but I don't think they're necessarily afraid of them.

hell yeah they are! I threw a rubber snake at an owl, and the owl flew away.
