I just brought home 13 baby quakers from a breeder who fell ill. They all are being handfed by ME.

The owner will want so sell them and I wonder what the market is on tame quakers. The 3 oldest are nearly fledged so may not be as tame as the babies. These came from 3 different nests. Some of the babies are plucked and two have small bites (from parents?) but seem okay.

Any advice would be deeply appreciated..

What can i feed this bird?

Rang RSPCA! no help
Rang Vet! no help!! he said it would more likely die or he would take it off my hands for £170.00 - (I just can't afford to)

I have placed the bird (guessing it's a sparrow) into a little container with paper tissues - i have not touched it with my bare hands!

I will do what i can to help keep it alive - although it is worrying me that i don't know if it has any injuries from it's fall!!! - it seems ok..it is moving!!!

any advice/tips welcome please!!

I found a baby bird and I need to know how to fix its broken leg. It is about 7-10 days old and it is a starling. I cant bring it to a vet because I am 14 and my parents could care less about a bird. But I really care and I am trying to find a wildlife center within the next week that can give him a good environment. I have also been feeding it soggy puppy food. It seems healthy other that its posture.

I spend a lot of time with my bird. She will get on my hand to eat a treat and she will get on my hand to play with a peice of jewelry. Other than that she wants nothing to do with me. I have had her for two months and still she shows no interest in me. It seems as though she trusts me or she wouldnt so eagerly get on me to get to what she wants, but its clear that she doesnt like me. I have tried taking her in the bathroom and finger training her. But that is so decieving because she doesnt want off my finger in there. In fact if I try to put her down she crawls up my arm. In the bathroom she lets me pet her and kiss her, but when she is in or near her cage she snaps at me when I try to touch her. What am I doing wrong? I really need advice, because I am so frustrated and depressed over this bird. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

Will the pigeons and seagulls attack each other...?

Must they be kept separate, or would it be safe for them to house the two types together...?

(I know nothing about raising poultry.)

Also, related, what color are the pigeon and seagull eggs...? how large are they...? I've read in survival books that birds' eggs that are speckled (camouflaged) are the ones that are the most strongly flavored, while the bland tasting ones (like those of domesticated fowl) are plain solid colors and are easier to spot. I don't want to just make up phony details.

They'll be fed plants, etc, and whatever else the people have for leftovers. Rest assured, I don't intend to actually eat them myself...! (I hear seagulls are protected in some areas, but as far as I'm concerned, they're safe from me.)

I hear they can have parasites, too. Any way to get rid of those...?

I realize this is a lot of question for my 5 points, but I appreciate the help.

when painting my deck, a baby birds nest was found with 5 baby birds, the mother was in it, and flew away, but while she was flying away, her wing hit my arm. I had no idea that the nest was there. I moved pot that the nest was in back where i found it, and went inside, and watched it (this happened early morning) now it is around 4 and i see the mother flying near by but has not went back to the nest. since her wing touched me, will she come back? the baby birds are still very dependent on the mother, they still have no feathers and their eyes are still closed.. i can see from a distance that they are hungry because they keep on openeing their mouths. what should i do? and if the mother doesnt come back, how should i help them survive..i didnt touch the babys, but the mom touched me. please help!!!!!

Covering her cage helps, but I can't keep her under a blanket forever. She seems to think it is the greatest sound ever and she even dances a little while she does it. If it wasn't so gawd-awful annoying, it might even be cute. Help!!!!!
