they love crumble up bread, cornbread. crack corn pretty much anything that a chicken would eat. i feed my scraps from the table. they like worms too. you can also give them sweet feed, corn, laying mesh. and plenty of water to play in. good luck

PLEASE do not feed ducks any bread!!!! It can kill them!

White bread in particular is made from refined flour and is not proper for avian nutrition. Many Ducks suffer from degenerative liver disease because they eat too much. Rotting bread can also breed other deadly diseases and parasites, particularly a Duck virus Enteritis, which with a single outbreak will kill all the Ducks of that area."

If they are wild ducks, you should not feed them at all. If they are domestic ducks, they should be given (depending on their age) unmedicated chick starter, duck chow, and cracked corn.

Go to fleet farm and get meat maker duck food (purple bag). It's around $7 for 50 pounds of it. They'll also eat weeds and bugs from your lawn. You can also feed them tomatoes as treats. They love them!

Since ducks are omnivore, they eat meat AND plants. I heard they love:
-Slugs (they go slug hunting)
-Fish
-Insects
-Grass
-Grain
-Acorns
So, basically, whatever they can get their hands on. Just don't feed 'em junk food or sugary candy! (or duck...)

Ducks will eat anything. Literally. If they can get it past their beaks, they will eat it. They will eat rocks.
However, If you must feed them, dried crusty bread is best for their systems.
