The guy at the bottom of this page is absolutely correct hot water can and does damage paintwork , it takes the shine off by dulling the laquer in the same way that raindroplets do on your car when the sun comes out after a shower and they maginfy the sun to burn your car laquer it may sound gross but i have found that the best thing ever to shift it is spit . a blob of spit on it let it soak in ... then swill it with warm water not hot . the sooner the better and off it comes no probs oh and not a grolly that would be gross lol ..

Dilute some washing up liquid half and half with water so it is sticky and clingy. Sponge or spray it on the poo. Leave for a while to soften then sponge off and give a good hosing. The sooner you can deal with it after the bird has crapped the better.

There is a product called Nature's Miracle and I think they make one just for birds to clean their cages just for that. Just spray some on and it will soften and then hose it off. You can get it at most pet stores. All the best;^)

Hot water with vinegar. Take a sponge, and really get the area wet.

It won't damage the paint job, either.
