i've had my parrotlet for a week now..he's 8 weeks.. and the first few days.. though he was timid, he was still adjusting well. However, in the last 2 days.. he's turned into a maniac!!! He keeps ludging at me and my family as in attacking us!! He literally LUDGES at us with his beak wide open.. I dont kno why it got so bad. At first whenever he bit anyone, we'd all say NO BITE really angerily, but then.. everything went downhill.. now he just doesnt listen. and he HATES coming out of his cage. i have to drag him out!!! and then once he's out, all he wants to do is go bak in! He doesnt play with his toys.. and he doesnt seem to like me very much at all. I dont kno wht to do and am feeling incredibly hopeless. How can I make this situation better? and please I need to know whts worked for U because this no bite thing doesnt seem to do be doing very much...

without warning my pet lovebird will go into a seizure. his wings go out straight and rigid, he rolls over on his back with his head arched all the way back and he flaps his wings uncontrollably. this lasts for several minutes until he comes out of it, staggers around and then finally returns slowly to himself. i dont know what triggers them or what to do about it. has anyone heard of such a thing? is it a seizure? anything i can do besides hold him and try to keep him from hurting himself? if he is in the cage when it happens he falls to the floor and flopps around. if he is out of the cage the wing flapping actually propels him into walls and windows. it is very scary to see. he is a dutch blue lovebird, single one, no mate, is extremely hand tame, will only eat canary food and people food pasta etc. and is about 9-10 years old. he is so sweet and so mischievious. please let me know what you think...thanks...

Ok I am freaking sick and tired of hearing the phrase ''Rats with wings''!! I hate it and want it too freaking stop!

Pigeons are not related to rats AT ALL they are part of the bird family for those idiots around! and what do you people have againsts rats anyway they can make great pets! all animals and birds where put on this earth for a reason and you have no right to say bad things about them, there just trying to live there life.

Facts about pigeons.

Pigeons can carry far fewer diseases than the average human, The people most likely to infect you are your fellow humans, who carry the diseases that are fatal to humans.

Pigeons have saved many life's during the wars.

Pigeons can see a speacail ultraviolet light.

Pigeons feed there young a milky substance.

Pigeons can fly 40 to 50 miles per hour.

Some pigeons have traveled 600 miles in a day!

They sometimes live for more than 15 years when raised by people.

She holds on for dear life to the bars and screams. I rub her head and hold her beak and she is fine until I try to take her out then all heck breaks loose. She is eating fine. When I bought her privately they said the person that can take the bird out was not home. When I tried to take her out she would not come out and they said that was because she did not know me "yet". I just spent $800.00 and can not hold the bird. What can I do? Please help me.
