NO NO NO NO NO I can not say that enough! Dont do it!! My sister has a cockatiel and she put two of her parakeets with him and he went crazy on them. He literally tried to grab their eyes. His cage is big to, but it is WAAAAY still to dangerous. Cockatiels are very cocky and moody and need their space. As they get older they become very territorial and they do not like to share their cage with anyone. You love your parakeet keep them separate for his own safety.

It all depends on your birds. My parakeets are fearless and my cockatiels easily fright so I wouldn't put mine together, but if your cockatiel and parakeet are compatable they should be fine together as each requires the same cage specifications and have similar diets.

I would think so, because in aviray's they have them together. Try spliting the cage in half with a see threw wall. Put one bird in one side and so on and so forth. See how they react. Then one day remove the wall. Ask a petshop.

yes. put the birds in separate cages at first, but put the cages next to each other where they have access to each other but can't get too physical. then make sure u watch them closely when u make the transition.

Yes you can. I have had them in cages together. They can even become so attached to each other that they will make themselfs sick if you seperate them. Good Luck, Becky

Their are two types of parrotts, hook bill and straight bill, generally speaking hook bills go together no worries but if one is alot bigger the smaller one will get picked on. Cockatiels and budgies are no problem together.
