we don't know if he is a pigeon or a dove. all white with slight black tail. Number 14 is on a band on his claw. we are in avon,in suburb of indianapolis. would like to help him find his home.

If you can contain the bird and ship him her to me.
I will pay all cost to ship you a live bird shipping box with return postage, all you would have to do is place a paper towel in the bottom of the box ad a handful of wildbird seed and seal the top shut with tape and take to your post office and ship it back to me.

It's got to be a pigeon...they are to only birds, that are banded like that....The bird was probably lost in a storm, which means it could of come from anywhere....We had racing Pigeons once, lived
in Illinois, and got a phone call from Texas...they found one of my birds in his coop...that was after a BIG storm...

You could place an ad in the newspaper and have the owner call and verify the number on the leg band.
