I defintly agree! You should never take in any animal found in the wild... Of course due to diseases, it might not looks sick but could be! This Dove obviously needs some medical attention asap! if this bird is just sitting not walking nor is it feeding it will likely strave or die due to injuries. I do not recommend you hand feeding the dove at all. After all its a wild dove and you do not know this animal or its back round. Simplely call a vet or other animal shelter and have them come and rescue it!

The bird probably has a hurt leg, it wouldnt just be lazy, it should be scared of you and trying to get away, if it isnt then it is hurt, take it to the vets or a wildlife sanctuary, they will know what to do.
birds should be able to fend for themselves (ie; feed themselves and stand, walk & fly) and if they cant they are in trouble..
maybe the bird fell out of a tree or got hit by a car?
ps; wildlife sanctuarys are very good, they care about wildlife and will try their best to get it back into the wild.I took three infant sparrows to one which I had fed for 4 days on catfood and cooked brown rice and mashed peas...i got a letter a few weeks later saying they'd all been released into the wild! i was really pleased!!

This bird has a broken leg. you could take it to a vet but the vet will probably just say to put it down. birds legs are very difficult to fix once broken, Especially with small birds. And when they have been broken once any slight accident and it will probably break again in the same place. It may heal on it's own but it could heal deformed, and yet again it will very easily break again. The kindest thing for this bird would be to put it to sleep.

Sounds like it has been hit by a car or flown in to a window or such like. If it is a young bird it may have rickets (a vitamin deficiency). Phone your local Animal Resuce unit (SSPCA etc) and they will come and collect it and give it the best treatment.

You should try to let it outside and see what it does.It can just miss it's habitat.Or you can take it to the vet because something is physically wrong. If the vet doesn't say anything is wrong then maybe it is just lazy.
