I have two Lovebirds with loads of budgies, 5 Kakarikis, 2 Cockatiels and 4 Quails they live outside in a big aviary. They are doing fine all together with NO fighting.

A resounding "NO" as the previous 2 posters have already said. Lovebirds are known for their aggression to other species (they are anything *but* lovebirds!) and it is not recommended to keep lovebirds with any other species of birds. Some even say that mixing particular species of lovebirds is a bad idea but unfortunately I can't recall which lovebird species are not supposed to be kept together... I'm very glad that you asked the question before putting them together...probably saved yourself from getting two very upset and beaten up cockatiels! ;)

It's not a problem! I have an aviary for all of my cockatiels, parakeets, lovebirds, etc. They all just keep to themselves (or own kind) but when it comes to feeding time, their all together. But you may want to watch out, soemtimes they may fight. I remember my parekeet kept trying to bite my cockatiel (which is really strange since the cockatiel is larger than the parakeet!). If they do fight, you could put some spacer between them.

If you have an outside aviary that is HUGE, you could try it, but it is really not a good idea for int he house. They need lots of space and distractions to be happy together.

Also lovebirds are mean little buggers and if they get nasty they are not above killing your more gentle cockatiels.

Best to keep them separate.

And it would be a good idea to separate one of your lovebirds. Often, if you have two females and one male the girls will get in a knock down drag out war over the male. They will kill each other over breeding rights. I've seen it happen. Two girls are OK together without a male, but three is a crowd.

NO! if you do the lovebirds could KILL the tiels! NEVER PUT LOVEBIRDS WITH ANY OTHER BIRD OR YOUR OTHER BIRDS WILL END UP DEAD! Lovebirds are the PITBULLS of the bird world. Learn the hard and your birds lose their lives. DONT CHANCE IT WITH LOVE BIRDS!

Please do not do this.

Although they can live together if they have enough room, the average indoor cage set up is no where near enough space for them.

Lovebirds can be territorial, especally when nesting or courting, and although everyone migth get allong for awhile, you are risking your cockatiels.

It would be better to put them side by side, rather than together.

yes they will live quite happy together if the enclosure is large enough.they require a minimum perch space of 9 inch per bird

No, you'll need to keep them apart. While they may seem to get along most of the time, lovebirds are notorious "toe-biters" and could easily cause food damage to the more mild-mannered tiels.

yes it is OK for them to be put together...my neighbor had a giant cage in her backyard filled with families of lovebirds and cocktails, but your birds may vary. they may have a different connection with each other or may hate each other. put their cages side by side and see how they react, based upon their behavior decide if they will get along.

Yes,
as long as there not breeding,
the love birds are notoriously known for spiteful behavior during breeding season, & will kill other breeds of parrots.
