seriously people think about it for a second show quality dogs and there litter mates cost way more than average. I want to show dogs( Neos) because I want to get into a breed which in my opinion has very few good quality specimens-
(I like the Italian lines), so I know I'm going to spend some money, like 2500 to 3000 a puppy, but I don't think the average person who wants a pet dog should have to pay 1000's for a dog, so whats wrong with someone breeding two healthy dogs that aren't show champs so that people can have well breed dogs for pet or maybe show?
Show breeders rarely charge less than 900 for a young pup as showing the dogs is costly and requires alot of money and time, if I wanted a pet dog I would only want to pay 300 to 700 dollars for a common breed dog, and many people don't have the desire to show-plus from what I have seen of GSD, I wouldn't even want a show breed shep.

My friend's cat has diarrhea (Going on the third day) and the cat had vomiting (it stopped, only lasted 4 hours, vomitted 4 times FRIDAY NIGHT). She found it outside and already has cats who are healthy. We are thinking that it picked something up from her cats. The cat is eating tuna, will not touch the dry food and drinking normally. She took it to the SPCA and the vet approved the pepto, but did not tell her how often. It seems like he is getting better, but needs something for the loose stool HELP!

He gets calls from Traralgon to Cranbourne to Welshpool to Sale in Victoria and drives to collect the birds. He keeps them until they are well enough to be set free in the wild. It costs a lot of money for petrol and to feed them and he needs help.

My kitten has been wearing Elizabethan collar for 6 days now to stop her pulling her stitches out.. We will remove it in 4 days when her stitches are out. The problem she has developed little sores on her neck and can't stop scratching them. The collar is not tight. What would you recommend to use to help her feel more comfortable? Is there any alternative to the collar? Thanks

I ahve been caring for a kitten I found when she was 2 days old. She is now 7 weeks old and has something wrong with her. She has lost alot of weight and is very "out of it." We have taken her to the vet and he gave us some nutrition cat food and told us to pump her full of fluilds like gatoraid and k-row (I know I spelled it way wrong). We also were told to giver her corn oil to help with bowel movement. However, through all of this the vet dosent know what my kitten has. Can anyone help? I dont want her to die. She was knocking on deaths door the day we took her to the vet. She has gained a little weight since weve been feeding her and filling her with fluids. What could she have? Please help!!!

We have a very obese cat that used to live mostly indoors, but then she got to where she wanted to be outside all the time. We adopted her when she was around 2 years old, and we were told that she was spayed when we adopted her. She for some reason started hating being indoors and started spending the majority of her time outside. She disappeared for a couple days, and returned this morning and it's the first time I've noticed how swollen her belly is. She's got very long hair, so I didn't see her belly until today. When I picked her up and carried her inside to show my wife, my wife put her hands on the cat's belly to feel how swollen it was, and the cat acted like it hurt her. Could it be that they lied and she's pregnant? Or could it be something more serious than that?

We've owned the cat a little over a year, and never experienced her showing signs of being in heat, although she went through a phase of pooping indoors.

Here is my first question.
Our puppy is now roaming free in the house. In the night he used to cry every few hours but since he hit his 15-16 week period he suddenly started sleeping through the night. We usually put him out to do his business at around 11 pm and then he sleeps by our bed until like 7-8 in the morning. Is this normal? I am just afraid that he might be releasing himself on the carpet somehwere while we are sleeping (although cant find any stains). During the day he always goes to the door when he needs to go potty.

My second question is that is it normal for him to sniff my bottoms? I feel a bit uncomfortable. As long as it is not something sexual I am ok with that. I am more like his mother figure and not his mate you know.

The park we use to go often has a pond in the middle, about 200-300 meters (yards) across and about 500 meters long.
Once walking near the water I noticed he was missing for awhile and then I saw him in the middle of the water chasing the ducks as usual. I start worrying since he was never that far away. I called him. He responded right away looking at me. But then instead of swimming toawrds me , he looked around and realized that the other bank of the pond is closer, swam in the opposite of me direction and ran around the pond as fast as possible. I did not interfere with his plan and did not hide my joy and pride of him when he arrived!

I have four goldfish(two babie ryukins and two young comets)and spring is just a couple months away. What do goldfish eggs look like. I'm not actually sure. I saw some pictures of marine fish eggs but I'm not sure of these eggs look like golfish eggs. I'd really appreciate pictures and website links. Thanks for looking!

I have a male rat, albino, about 4-5 months old. He is normally very sweet and docile and comes when called, however for about 10 minutes today he ran around, his movemets violent and jerky, chewing on things, and giving me light quick nips whenever I tried to catch him. He normally sticks to me and shows me complete devotion and love, so you can see how this is odd.

Then, he proceeded in licking and suckling on his genitals in a non-grooming way-autoeroticising (pleasuring himself). Afterwards, he had returned to his loving docile self. I am not bothered by him pleasuring himself, but could it be that he was only acting violent because he was feeling aroused? And is it normal for male rats to pleasure themselves?

Please don't answer unless you will act maturely.

Thanks :)

On December 14, 2007, my cat was euthanized due to his old age and increasing health issues....I miss him alot, and so do the rest of my family.

I was wondering, what is a good amount of time to wait and think about getting a new cat? (it will be a rescue kitten!)

Any advice or condolences are great.
please and thanks.
